Stopped by there to check out some pea gravel around noon on Saturday, everything was locked up even tho online and when I called it said 130 sharp and that they do not check messages so please call back. People were sitting out by the road smoking and looked like they were drinking as well. Will be taking my business elsewhere and will recommend everyone do the same.

We worked with Nick for our patio. He is absolutely amazing. He really made our vision for our patio come to life. He is extremely knowledgeable and worked to give us the best bang for our buck. He not only helped us plan it all out but saw it through to the end of the project. I recommend the Rock Shoppe because of my experience with Nick!

Today I called them and explained that I had a huge rock in my trunk of my car that I could not remove because it was so heavy from a competitor, they said they usually don't do that but they would try to do something or figure how to get me some help if I could not come up with a plan as I was going to try and call around. I did get the competitor to help me out with that as I had bought it from them but appreciate the promised future help with that from the Rock Shoppe that was so awesome and unheard of and I really appreciate that, thank you so much it was very comforting too know I could call you back for help if I needed it. Rudest place I've ever called. so I looked on Google a few weeks ago and said closes at 130pm on Sat so I drive out and they aren't open. Ok no biggie, so a month later I called at 12pm and a women answered, I said yes what time do u close. Her response was 1:30 sharp than she said well its too late for u to even come so don't bother and laughed and hung up.
Issue is there was an hour and a half before closing and I was 5 min away and all I was coming up to do was look at rocks to pick something. I will definitely make it my mission to steer people away from this over priced rude place. Any where I can find something negative to say and I will write up a poor reviews.

Every year, multiple times a year, for 15 years I went to another rock place in Whitmore Lake because I lived nearer to it. When I moved, I decided to check out the Rock Shoppe. Not only less expensive than that other rock place, the quality of the mulch is superior. Multiple visits later.the staff is kind, knowledgable and helpful. I appreciate the large variety of options available.

We had a truckload (5+ yds) of screened topsoil/compost mix delivered. While the setup over the phone was great and delivery was on time & professional, both the material and customer service experience were found to be in need of improvement. Upon initial inspection around the exterior surface of the pile, significant amounts (handfuls) of hard and soft plastics (pieces of plastic bags, candy wrappers, various plastic caps, pieces of plastic pots) and a larger piece of glass were found making this mix unacceptable for our gardening purposes.
I called to hopefully find a remedy to the situation and was told these plastics and the amount found were "normal to find in screened compost" and that their only solution was "if I would like to bring the material back they will switch it out for me" (not a reasonable remedy as I just paid for delivery and this is a lot of material). I hope this customer service interaction is not indicative of their entire operation but will unfortunately have myself & others seeking our landscape materials elsewhere in the future.

Awesome service, awesome people, and always the best advice. The variety and and quality of product is second to none locally. They have so many things that you just won't find anywhere else. We DIY a LOT. and if you catch me shopping anywhere else to buy stuff for our yard, it's only because I'm buying flowers and trees : The Rock Shoppe has been my go-to place for over ten years, and I recommend a visit even if it's just to stroll around - you'll leave with plenty of inspiration and an appreciation for the gifts of nature. Don't forget to go inside and stop in the back room!
