Being one of the most reputable nurseries in the area, a lot of attention should be paid to the Native Plants. Unfortunately it's not the case. Majority of the native plants offered are cultivars, that don't support eco system as good as straight species. Staff members are very friendly, but completely uninformed about indigenous plants, which is again very sad, as the staff members should be the ones that educate general public.

In one of my visits to Davidsonville location, non-native Witch Hazel was put in the area that says "Native Plants of Maryland". Two staff members didn't even know that, when we had a conversation about that. Native plants are playing essential role in supporting fabulous Maryland ecosystem. Places like Homestate Garden should be a pioneer, explaining people the importance of local plants. Please get more of the local plants and educate your staff.

I recently went to Homestead Gardens. The people at Homestead are very friendly and helpful. I would have given Homestead five stars but they didn't have any pavers.

Just an awesome place! The gift items are so very pretty. it's really easy to just buy a little something for everyone on your list. The plants are beautiful and the assortment is outstanding right now. I went for veggie plants and am so excited to get them planted. all 120 of them! Parking is easy, the layout is very good and staff is friendly. Love it!

My husband and I have been coming to this place for as long as I can remember. It really has a special meaning to our family and a place in my heart. Wonderful staff, great selection, and decent prices. I hope to always have our local Homestead Gardens here in Davidsonville.

Everything you need for your gardening and landscaping. Beautiful plants, home furnishings and gifts. Every visit is a treat! You never know what you will find! 3/26/2022 - Finally got to come to Homestead Gardens since all of this Covid mess. Coming here really cheered me up. The selection of beautiful plants is endless. There is a large outdoor living area with lots of patio furnishings and all the grilling supplies you could ever need.

Both the indoor house plant and the outdoor garden areas are packed with beautiful plants. There is plenty of landscaping and hardscaping supplies. You will also find home decorating and a small women's clothing selection. The store is well laid out and there is plenty of help if you need it. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I stopped in at the Orchid show to see a friend who had a display and this was the first time I had seen Homestead not all done up. They were clearly getting ready for the upcoming season, which is what I am used to and look forward to seeing. I always love seeing Homestead all done up! It is a welcoming place!

Very exclusive and oh, so beautiful especially during the holiday season. Something for everyone at Homestead Gardens including clothing, jewelry and knick knacks. Many live, fresh cut and artificial trees to choose from. They have very fine pet products including Weruva cat food which my cats adore. Are things a bit pricey? Sure. But don't you want the very best? And no one says you have to buy anything. Come for the experience alone and come just when it gets dark during the holidays. The lights alone are worth the trip!

I love looking at everything at Homestead Gardens. I'm not by there very often since I live in Southern Maryland. It's a beautiful nursery.

(Davidsonville location) Great assortment of plants, both indoor and out! I'm a houseplant collector, and they do have nice specimens including some more rare plants from time to time. I also like their Bonsai section as they have smaller versions of some plants, making it easier to make a fairy garden, terrarium, or have an assortment of plants in a smaller space. They also have one of the best planter selections in the area. I love this place!

We're new to Delaware and came from an area outside of Philadelphia where there were many excellent nurseries. Today we visited Homestead Gardens and were very pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied by the level of service we received as well as the variety of plants, shrubs and trees available. The service exceeded our expectations. Doug, the nursery manager, provided general information about the nursery and availability of a few plants we were interested in.

We appreciated his knowledge and candor. We were interested primarily in perennial plants, so Doug referred us to Ashley, whose specialty is in this area. Ashley was absolutely amazing, between her knowledge of perennial plants, recommendations for our garden, and overall interest in what we are trying to achieve with our gardens. She spent at least 45 minutes with us, as we discussed the possible solutions.

Our checkout experience with Sara was efficient and expedient, and we received assistance with loading our 20 new plants in our car. All of the plants we reviewed looked healthy and well taken care of. Based on today's experience, we will be routine customers to Homestead Gardens. It was definitely worth the visit.

When the place was Ronny's it was worth a 30 or 40 minute drive but this Honestead place isn't worth a 5 minute walk. Their prices are ridiculous and their staff, when you can find them, act as though they are doing you a favor by answering a question.

I love spending time at Homestead Gardens. It's such a nice big facility and plenty of space for social distancing. They have an amazing houseplant haven and inexpensive pots. I got a ZZ plant and a pot today. The plant was $15 and the pot was $7. Great deal! The staff are also very friendly and always happy to help. I come here almost every weekend!

It's a popular indoor/outdoor market that feels like the mix between a farm stand, nursery, grocery store, and furniture/big box store. They had quite a selection of goods, food trucks/vendors out front, and a great selection of pumpkins (the reason I was there). You can spend some time there.make an afternoon of it!
