If you need someone to build a flagstone patio, don't choose this company. We spent over 25k to have a flagstone patio built last year with this company. The workmen were clearly unskilled. Instead of cutting the expensive stones to fit with one another like a puzzle, they laid them randomly and then cut irregular tiny pieces to fit into the gaps. Well one winter later to today, all these tiny pieces are popping out of the ground. Not only does it look hideous, it also presents a tripping hazard.

Emerald helped us with repairing mortar and reinstalling some bricks that came loose. It was a small job, but Emerald made us feel important anyway. The team on site was efficient and focused. We'd 100% work with them again.

We recently had a new walkway put in by Emerald Landscaping Corp located at 7448 Damascus Rd in Gaithersburg Md. Let me start by saying how absolutely happy we are with the walkway. Every item on the contract was taken care of exactly as written and exceeded our expectations. We have had numerous compliments from our neighbors on the look and workmanship of the new walkway.

We couldn't be happier. Margie who was my contact kept us informed with timing and completion. She was always very responsive and happy to answer any questions. What an awesome person to deal with and certainly a good positive part of our experience. She stayed in contact and communicated to us throughout the process which made everything better. Also the price was great. Everyone we dealt with from the company was pleasant and helpful. Great job Emerald we highly recommend your services to all.

We had this company come do a leaf cleanup for us and they did a great job. They were punctual, efficient and had everything done in under an hour! Would definitely use their services again.

Emerald has been our landscaping service for many years, and my wife and I continue to be very happy with their service and pricing. Within the last two weeks, a crew from Emerald was at hour home to do our Spring cleanup and mulching. Before they got started, my wife explained to them what she wanted done in particular areas of our front and back yards.

The crew listened to her requests, and the work they did was exactly what she had asked for. In fact, listening to their clients has certainly been a hallmark of the service Emerald has delivered over the years. Margie and Sam, who have been our points of contact at Emerald, are friendly and efficient, and through them we see our landscaping needs transformed into reality. The old saying is that the grass is always greener on the other side, but thanks to Emerald Landscaping, OUR grass looks great!

Cheapest quote but definite bait and switch. Worked with them to try to deal with water build up on my property. Discussed a French drain and finally agreed to a proposed solution. When they showed up to do the work it wasn't a French drain at all. Refused to refund even a portion of the deposit. Finally agreed to a modification of their plan (of course with more money from me).

In the process of work they dug on an expired ticket from the utility marking company, hit an in ground cable, told me I needed to contact the utility company and that they don't do that, broke a part of my gutter and denied it, and then demanded payment immediately after work even though I was looking at a $500 bill for the broken cable. The work seems decent enough, although on the cheap side and not what I wanted but I won't ever work with these guys again.

We hired emerald Landscaping to rework our entire front yard. On one side they added ground cover and mulch and on the other they extended my patio. The work was done quickly and looks great! I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed

Emerald Landscaping performed mulching and installed new plantings to my yard. They were very responsive with all my questions and their installers arrived on time. Initially the installers did not furnish topsoil when installing the new plants, but Emerald Landscaping corrected that promptly. I'm not sure if this was part of the top soil, but I did not see the installers supplying any additional plant slow release fertilizer, which was part of the contract. Clean up was great, but they did leave one thing behind. In all, Emerald Landscaping was excellent to work with.

Great company and provides exceptional services. Emerald services our home and has always done a great job! Courtesy, professional, AND very reliable! They did a fantastic job on the Fall clean up work, and fence work. Looking forward to doing more work with them in the future!

I had a great experience with Emerald Landscaping this past week. They put down sod in our backyard, which had become very muddy after all the torrential rain we had in the spring/summer. I found Emerald through Home Advisor. I talked with both Margie and Peter, who were immediately responsive. The estimate was reasonable, and their men got the work done in a very timely way - within a few days of my initial call. Very professional experience and the new lawn looks good.

Mr Sam B. Yes, Mr. B. I am referring to your company. Est/Agree # 14609B dtd. 3/8/2018 and Invoice # CLIP22470 dtd. 5/4/2018. Our daughter, Tanya communicated with you several times through 2018 and even personally visited your office in Gaithersburg trying to resolve this issue. Thank-you for your offer to look into this again. But as I said before, we will look somewhere else to fix up our yard.

Dear Peter, Why am I not surprised by your company's poor behavior? From my perspective, your company's good reputation was severely tarnished by this unprofessional experience. Our project was simple and straight forward, some regrading, a new paver walk, short knee walls, nice plantings, etc. Where's the "risk" you speak of? I swiftly complied with all of Margie's requests, plans, photos, sketches etc were all sent on time as promised.

Yet your company produced nothing, not even a simple courtesy call while wasting weeks of my time waiting for something, anything. Apparently the risks were all mine. While you were away, your team continuously procrastinated, failed to meet their promises & estimated deadlines that required numerous follow-up phone calls by me. Your estimator was considerably late for his afternoon appointment, was completely unfamiliar with all the materials I had forwarded to Margie weeks before, arrived with no writing materials for note taking as I described the details and scope of the project (which now makes sense since you said Sam failed to remember the retaining wall along the East end of the property) and appeared tired, overworked and not interested. yes, completely ill prepared for the project.

Although I fully complied with your teams requests, was friendly, courteous and understanding toward you and your team, today you pulled out of the project without explanation and after much delay! Very unprofessional and deserving of a bad review. Sincerely,

I contracted with Emerald Landscaping to install a walkway for me and the result is absolutely beautiful. It took them a couple weeks to come out after my deposit, but Peter and Kim were very helpful in the office in answering any concerns. They also made sure I was satisfied after the process. Overall, highly recommended. Just don't expect them to be cheap.

Emerald was very responsive, and did a great job grading a portion of my yard and putting down sod. I recommend you have them come out for an estimate

I have used Emerald twice now and I can safely say they deliver the best of any company I have worked with on professionalism and quality for money. They worked with me on what could be done within our budget when the initial estimate for work was too high. My only advice for improvement would be to provide an update for when the job will start, as work can sometimes take a while and I've had to check with the office a couple of times on each job.

But once work began, each time it was done as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. I can say as someone who has been burned going with the cheapest option, you get what you pay for. I would say Emerald's price was the fairest, especially for quality. They were also the most prompt and up front about their billing, I never felt like I was being railroaded like you can with some contractors. Ii recommend them for any job you have.

Sam and Margie were very helpful and friendly. The interaction with them for the landscaping project we were going to do with Emerald, was very enlightening. Although we ultimately decided to go with another company, we wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Emerald in the future.

Emerald Landscaping has been our steady landscaping company at my office for a long time now and we couldn't be more grateful for their service! What's the most special part that we have seen with the crew that works here is the extra attention to details. I planted bulbs myself and a few other plants that Emerald did not put in over the years at my office.

In essence, they could have just pulled out my plants as they don't match the existing shrubs and I'd have no right to complain. However, they did not. After carefully removing all of the mulch, the crew lovingly re-mulched around my bulbs and it could not look any more fantastic. Right now, someone is giving these spring bulbs even extra water and love.

I am sure any other commercial landscaping company would have just ripped them out and mulched over it as fast as possible, to get to the next job. The gentlemen that show up here are very polite and professional too. They really go the extra mile and take pride in their work and it shows. Also, super fast snow removal too!

Emerald was a great company to work with. They offered a fair price, and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. Evelyn managed the project very well, kept in contact to explain weather delays, and knew the process and materials. Eric did the demolition and construction, and was very hard-working and skillful. We are very pleased with the work they did and would certainly hire them again.

I contracted with Emerald Landscaping to remove and replace a large retaining wall (170+ feet) on my property. They removed the old railroad tie wall, plus a number of good size trees, which required a great deal of skill and care since the wall was very close to my neighbor's house. The old wall was replaced with a Nicolock block wall, beautifully installed.

All grading and landscaping was accomplished very professionally. I am extremely pleased with the excellent work they did under very difficult circumstances. Would highly recommend this company.

Our front steps had to be demo'd and rebuilt. Sam (the owner) is incredibly easy to work with and very flexible. We were working with a tight timeline with our daughter's birthday (and ensuing party/out of town guests etc) and Sam was able to get the job done as promised. I would highly recommend him/Emerald Landscaping!

Fair service. Do the basic mow service and its pretty basic. even for basic mow service standards. They do about as good of a job as the 14 year old down the street who does it for 8 bucks

Emerald Landscaping has taken care of my front and backyard mowing for a number of years. They are fair and reliable. Like most things, sometimes a problem occurs. This happened recently over a matter concerning a utility drainpipe in my front lawn area. In a very collaborative and amicable way, Sam responded to the issue, He listened, was open to how to resolve the issue and we quickly came to a mutually agreeable solution.

This in itself was a relief and a reason to continue doing business with Emerald Landscaping. Try them and see for yourself. Your yard will look professionally cared for and they will make it easy for you to be their customer.

Emerald Landscaping installed and has maintained the landscaping on my property for over 5 years. The office staff was professional and easy to work. The owner came to my house and provided me a fair quote. Emerald designed my landscaping that includes various grasses, plants and added a decorative boulder that earns compliments from my neighbors. Next year, I plan to have Emerald install a patio! I have recommended this company to friends and family.
