Extremely dissatisfied with the work and owner Craig Whitten's absolute lack of response to my requests for assistance. Awarded job to Whitten after receiving quotes from several other Landscaper. Job called for the old lawn to be scrapped and removed, quality loam put down, sprinkler system installed, cobblestone border placed around the outdoor shower and hydro seed.
The price for the entire job was over $13,000. Craig Whitten himself cautioned me against some providers who would use substandard material. Craig told me the lawn may seem fine at first, but after a couple of years, you will start to see weeds take over and you just won't be happy. This is precisely the situation I am left with. The lawn will be 2 years old in July, it is extremely thin, has moss and weed.
I have been trying all spring to get Craig to come and look at the lawn. His office assistant has been extremely pleasant, has communicated my numerous requests to Craig and always got back to me. Craig has said he will need to come by and look at the lawn, but this has not occurred. I was also told to be patient and give the lawn a couple of growing seasons before I see full and vibrant lawn. Needless to say, I called Whitten again today looking for assistance. Craig Whitten refused to assist or call me back.
He had his assistant call me saying this is not his responsibility, he used quality resources and now the lawn is almost 2 years old, so not his responsibility. please not that I followed recommendations for maintenance, use Scott's Steps and mow the lawn myself. This has been a horrible experience dealing with Craig Whitten and despite being a well known name in the Yarmouth area, I would never recommend him.

Asked Whitten for a quote for yard maintenance, irrigation system, and fertilizer programs for my property in Yarmouth. Came out and met with me, told me he'd email me with quote/information, and I never heard from him again. He certainly has no obligation to want my business, but lying is no way to do business.

Had landscaping done this fall -- cobble stones -- edging - mulch work - stone work -- made a call -- talked to Owner Craig -- heard back--sent quote - work done in timely fashion. Professional - Quality - work - Crews were all so pleasant and helpful - and surely appreciated that we chose them to do the work. Three words describe Whitten Landscaping in my opinion : SIMPLY THE BEST! Jim McGovern Yarmouth, Ma

This lso called landscape company is supposed to maintain the grounds of our condo association in Brewster, MA. They are good at riding the lawnmowers but terrible at keeping the areas around the walkways and entranceways of the units maintained. For example, they trim the boxwoods and shrubs but leave the trimmings on the walkways and on the stone mulch.
There are still leaves from last fall in and around the shrubs. We pay a very high HOA fee and get very low service from this company. I am considering running for the board so I can have a voice in contracting with another company.
