We offered weekly maintenance and fertilization programs. We now specialize in complete landscape construction: walls, walkways, patios, driveways, design planning, excavation, new lawns and customized services. We also perform routine lawn maintenance in Lexington Arlington Concord and Belmont, Devens, Shirley, Ayer, Westford, Chelmsford, Billerica, Burlington, Lowell, Dracut Tyngsboro and other sourounding towns.
Stony Brook Landscaping plant warranties are discussed prior to installation. The time frame on these warranties varies due to contract situations and locations. All Landscape designers are responsable for tagging their own plants. If they wish not to do so they will be responsable for any plant regardless of their liking apon dilivery no returns with out charge for both our time and a posible restocking fee!

Came up in spring to find small stone wall on back steps had suffered significant damage. Called around, but everyone in area was booked. Tom told me he would try and find an opening ASAP if possible. Less than 2 weeks later I got a photo on my cell with walls completely rebuild better than the original. Looks great and very happy with the timing, getting it done before 4th of July company arrived.

I have been using Stoney Brook Landscaping for three years now and am finally leaving for a more professional and reliable company. This is the only negative review I have ever posted, but I felt I needed to share the issues I encountered since so many new folks have moved to the area and there are many landscaping companies to choose from here. *Lack of Communication : Any time I have had more extensive landscaping work done with this company I needed to follow up continually to get on the schedule.
The original hardscaping and garden design I had done was originally scheduled for May 3rd, got pushed to the following week twice, they partially completed the work mid-May, and then they didn't return until June 12th to finish. Other requests often took weeks to respond to over email and even longer before the work was actually done. There have been many changes in office manager and sometimes without any notification, leaving me reaching out for weeks to someone who is no longer there and not knowing who to contact for work requests. *Charging well beyond estimates with no warning : Again, that first job, they underestimated the fill by over half, charging me an additional $720.
Then they gave me an estimate for $300-$400 for spring/fall cleanups, of which only one has ever even remotely fit into that range. The latest cleanup this past fall they charged me $1362.50 without any heads up or discussion during the work about the additional costs, and I didn't ask for anything special or addition work. *Poor quality services: The service has always been subpar, but I just haven't had the time to deal with it until it got too bad.
The first job they did some grading work for me for the garden design and the center of the garden constantly floods. During plowing they have run over my rose and blueberry bushes and killed the plants multiple times even though they set up the guard poles themselves, and they never mention this to me, apologize, or offer to compensate me for the destroyed property.
During the latest fall cleanup, friends that I had over mentioned to me that the staff weren't working and really just sitting around and asked if that was normal. I figured they were taking breaks, but it was constant. And the final straw was a recent plowing experience where my driveway and walkways were untouched. I couldn't leave my house or safely let my dogs out.
I waited two days after the storm for them to come, until I reached out to ask for them to come and clear me out. I was told they had been there (despite my driveway being covered in inches of snow and now ice without a plow or shovel mark to be seen) and that I should wait for the sun and rain to do its job. I pushed for them to still come out as I could not leave my house and they finally did two days later.
They then charged me for the original plow they did not do, as well a rate far beyond their normal rate for 2.5 hours to actually do the shoveling and plowing. I cannot recommend this company to anyone and highly recommend you look to the other, more reputable companies in the area.
