What separates Luxescapes from other landscape companies is two very important elements which we considered when choosing them as our landscape architects. One, design and two, execution. Stephen has been landscaping around the Denver Area since 1997. He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Landscape Design and Construction in 2000, and has since earned his CLT certification through the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC). Many of Stephen's designs and projects have received awards through several organizations, including ALCC, HBA, Colorado Garden and Home Show, and The Deck Superstore.

We had an excellent experience with Luxescapes and would highly recommend them. They transformed the sad square of grass in our backyard into a space that we love. Meghan provided us with a beautiful landscape design and made adjustments so that we could get what we wanted within our budget. The Luxescapes crew was awesome. They were always friendly and professional, demonstrating an impressive work ethic.
They obviously cared about the quality of their work and didn't cut corners. Meghan and our project manager communicated with us throughout the entire project. They finished our yard on schedule and under budget. We are thrilled with the final product.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience with Meghan at Luxescapes. We first met her 4 years ago when we moved into a new home and needed our backyard landscaped. She not only worked within our budget but, created a few designs for us to choose from. Our yard is just beautiful. Currently we are having the front door and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Luxescapes. We hired them to fix significant grading, sloping, and poor design issues from another companies work. Luxescapes was reliable, completed the project ahead of schedule, and had excellent communication throughout the project. They stand behind their work and have responded to any questions we've had about maintenance, plants, and future projects. We've hired them for 2019 to complete similar issues in our back yard. The crew that worked on our front flagstone patio and surrounding landscape were prompt, reliable, hard-working, paid attention to detail, and kept our property very tidy during the entire project. We met Stephen at the home and garden show and asked him to come out and give us a quote for our backyard. He was very professional and had amazing ideas for our space. Our house backed to a steep hill and the existing yard was nothing but bushes and mulch - a real eyesore. Once Stephen drew up the plans and showed us all the potential we knew we wanted to work with him.
When the project started, Stephen came out frequently to check on his crew's progress. His guys were courteous and always cleaned up after themselves. The foreman was a pleasure to work with and kept us informed of everything that was happening. We did experience some delay due to heavy rains, but they kept us in the loop about how that impacted our timeline.
The finished product was truly beautiful. Everyone who came to our house complimented us on the landscaping. Stephen put in two large retaining walls made out of large boulders, extended our lawn, put in a gorgeous pondless waterfall with a bridge across, and topped it all off with perfect lighting. It was exactly what we had wanted and more. We recently sold our house.
It was on the market for less than 48 hours and sold for our asking price. I attribute that to Stephen's artistry. We are getting settled in our new house and fully intend to use Luxescapes to improve our landscaping. I'm excited to see what ideas Stephen will have for us this time. Call Luxescapes for a quote. When we were looking at designers to have our yard landscaped, we had no parameters, other than a budget, and a small space to work with. We looked at three, and gave them all full license to design something they felt would meet our needs. We went with Luxescapes for several reasons. Meghan took the time to find out what was important to us, her design was very thoughtful, well laid out, and incorporated things that made our space unique, yet spoke to the type of intimate surrounding we were trying to create. Luxescapes is a smaller company, which to us, meant that their success hinged on the success of each and every job, and not just through volume of work.
The details: Our budget was $40,000; they came in at $38,000. At the start of the project, Meghan asked a lot of questions about what was important to us, and what type of atmosphere we were looking for. She was very creative with our small space, keeping it functional and giving it a unique look. Luxescapes did a great job with the coordination of contractors for cement, electrical and gas.
They managed everything and it was seamless. Luxescapes' employees were extremely courteous, leaving the job site very neat every day, and even went above and beyond, helping my husband move heavy items out of the yard, before they began their work. Change orders were simple, well organized, and there were no surprises. They cut the base of the board and batten of the house exterior to fit the patio pavers.
They were very precise with the grade, ensuring no water drainage issues. We were able to leverage Meghan's creativity, saving us $4,000 in sculpture/artwork. Luxescapes designed a phenomenal grill inset, and were very attentive to detail with all of their work. We couldn't have had a better experience with Luxescapes. We worked primarily with Meghan, who is not only a delight to be around but also a talented designer. When we were considering re-doing our entire backyard plus a few upgrades in the front, we interviewed four landscaping companies. Meghan was the only one who offered to create a design without making us pay for it. (We paid another company $1,000 for a design we never used.
Such a waste!) She listened to our wants and came up with a plan that was so much more manageable cost-wise than the other companies we interviewed that we were worried it was too good to be true. But it wasn't! Meghan's design unfolded before our eyes and it was beautiful. Meghan was always available during the construction and when we noticed a few minor issues, she was always there to get them fixed quickly and correctly.
Our entire project was done on time and, years later, it still looks amazing. Everyone that comes to our house remarks on how much it adds to our home. Once the project was complete, we had a couple of plants/trees die. We kind of expected that that was normal but we let Meghan know anyway -- and she replaced the trees straight away for free. Three years after our project was completed, we asked Meghan back to our house to give us a quote on another project.
Although she was there to look at another part of our property, she noticed a slight droop in a few of the patio pavers they had laid years before. She was horrified and sent a team over to fix it immediately -- for free. We would ask Luxescapes back to do work at our home again and again.

We met this company at a Home & Garden show in Denver. The owner was very nice, we later made an appointment. A woman showed up and listened to my needs and concerns but felt the need to tell me and I quote, "well we're not the cheapest and we're very busy." That statement was due to my wanting to do one or two sections at a time due to the large scale of the project.
She roamed my property took some notes and told me she'd get back with me in two weeks and said again "because they were so busy." Never heard back from them. Maybe it would have helped if I were living in Boulder, Highlands Ranch.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Being new house junkies, we have built and lived in several homes in Boulder and Denver (plus a vacation home in New Mexico) over the last 25 years. As a result we have learned a great deal about engaging landscape designers. Some charge very high fees just for the design and outsource the work to another firm. Others rely on tired and time-worn "paver/flagstone" designs that look like everything else.
We contracted with Luxescapes for our newest home based on the most beautiful design and landscape I had ever seen in the Denver metro area! The project - in our neighborhood - was so contemporary and truly spectacular, I knew I wanted a bid. Even the pergola Luxescapes constructed looked more beautiful, elegant and magnificent than any I've ever seen.
Quality workmanship. Meghan was incredibly responsive and provided the design in a couple of weeks. We had already received ideas and bids from a few others. Luxescapes was so far superior in terms of trends, materials, planting and lighting -- not to mention the cost -- it was a very easy decision. Our new yard is stunning -- very modern, clean and architecturally conforms to our contemporary home.
The cost/benefit ratio is far more competitive than the others. We have now seen three projects in our area that are just gorgeous and each is unique to the home.
