I have been very pleased with the services I have received. I have only been with RDS for almost a year now and my lawn has seen a remarkable improvement. Prior to having RDS I didn't have any professional treatment for at least 5 years plus. So clearly there was a ton of work needed to get my lawn back in shape. I look forward to seeing this continual improvement. The service technicians are knowledgeable, informative and strive to satisfy any questions or concerns I might have. From my experience so far they are a Class Act.

Absolutely pleased with these guys. They email the day before treating the lawn and always let me know what is being done. We had them aerate our lawn this fall too. They returned about three weeks later and put down some more grass seed in spots that were still a little bare. Techs are always happy to answer any questions I have and offer advice to help my lawn look it's best. I recommend RDS for anyone looking to maintain a nice lawn.

Folks, these folks have a great program. They provide a service that is fantastic. If you do your part, trust me, they do theirs. We could not be happier with the results and hope they post our pictures soon. Your yard is an investment into your property. If we put our home on the market right now, we could get asking price easily, due to the grass.

RDS has done a great job on our lawn. In just one year we have seen a vast improvement. Knowing that it takes time and a few years of treatment to see the best results, we are very happy with the results so far. RDS is best in class. I have been using the RDS team for over a decade to treat, aerate and seed my lawn. It takes time, but Aaron's formula for weed control and fertilization has my grass in tip top shape. I would highly recommend RDS to anyone wanting to have the nicest lawn in their neighborhood. Update: Had nice conversation with owner and after going through how we both experienced the issue we were able to come to an agreement. I will update again if anything changes but as of now it looks like he is going to make it right. READ CAREFULLY! RDS aerated and seeded my neighbors lawn on Wednesday morning 10/02/19 and decided to ride through my lawn to access their back lawn and tear it up.
Since they left without letting me know I found out wed evening and had to communicate through my neighbor to try and get in contact with someone. Finally Friday with no word I went ahead and bought topsoil and filled it in, reseeded, re applied starter fert, and reapplied tenacity. Between getting supplies and actually repairing I spent at least 2+ hours fixing this issue not including material.
I spent all weekend the previous week getting my lawn ready to only have it messed up. I finally get a call from RDS today (Monday 10/07/19), 5 days later who was apologetic but stands on defense that I didn't give them opportunity to fix it and jumped the gun by taking care of it myself. They offered me "what it would have cost them to fix" which was $20.
That's right, $20 that doesn't even cover what I paid for materials much less my time fixing it, contacting them, and jumping through hoops. I told him if I was to hire someone to come fix it it would have cost at least $100 in which he said he was not going to pay anywhere near that as "his labor cost $12" and "his supplies cost a fraction of what I pay"(keep that in mind if you're paying $45 for a 30 minute cut or $200 for a seed job).
So it looks like I'm just SOL. As far as his defense of "you didn't give me an opportunity to fix", they tore up my personal property and left. Had they contacted me or let me know I would have let them fix it. Instead what I was left with was no contact and the choice of continuing letting my existing seed get washed away from the rut and run off and MAYBE they will come fix the rut next week while destroying my seedlings that have germinate, or fix it myself before more damage can be done. Is this who you want to spend your money with?

We've used RDS for about 5 years and have given them many referrals in Fort Mill and Charlotte. Sadly, their service has taken a nose-dive and we're shopping for a new service. All last year our lawn was full of weeds even though we paid hundreds of dollars for fertilization and weed control. I had to contact them about every two weeks because they missed mowing spots, didn't blow off areas, didn't treat weeds, etc.
It became a real annoyance to try to get them to do what they said they'd do. They'd also said that they would use a hand mower. They're using a big commercial mower on our small lawn. I think they have more business than they need, and don't care if they lose customers in the Fort Mill area.

This business is amazing! Our yard was a dirt pit. We contacted RDS. The guy talked with my husband for over an hour. He was honest- our yard is a work in progress- but after just two months we have grass! It's green! The weeds are going away! Yes, it will not be perfect til next spring but we knew that. The improvement is beyond belief! We aren't embarrassed anymore. And when we desperately called to get our bushes trimmed, they could help. Give these guys a try!

I don't leave many reviews, but I have to share a recent experience with RDS. First of all, these guys do great work. They have done a great job of restoring my lawn. The previous owner of our home did not maintain it and it needed professional help. We have been very pleased with their communication, professionalism, service, and dependability.
The reason for this review is to highlight how seriously they are committed to customer service. I was hosting Thanksgiving for my family and wanted a quick mow to clean up the yard. With all of the rain in the past few weeks, I knew they were behind and did not expect to see the crew. I called on Wednesday and was told they might make it as they were working nearby. Unfortunately, they ran out of time and did not make it.
At 5:00 on Wednesday, I called to find out why. I wasn't rude or anything, but I let them know I was disappointed and that we were hosting Thanksgiving for the whole family. They were very apologetic and promised to get to me on Friday. At the time, I was putting down mulch in the yard. You can imagine how surprised I was when two trucks from RDS showed up about an hour later.
They told me that customer service is very important to them and them at they heard I was disappointed. They proceeded to edge, trim, and mow my yard.practically in the dark! It was so dark by the time they finished my family and I were holding up flashlights and work lights so they could see. I was most impressed by the attitudes of the team. Even though they had probably been working for 12 hours already, they were still full of smiles and friendly.
They even apologized for not making it earlier and showed no signs of being frustrated for having to work late or in the dark. This was our first Thanksgiving in our new home and RDS helped make it special. The yard looked great and we got lots of comments on it from our visiting family. Customer service is not dead! So much for a guarantee. I moved to Charlotte late March and signed up for mowing and chemicals. The lawn had some weeds but didn't look bad. I took a trip in August and came back to find LARGE dead patches in both the front and back lawn. RDS came over and explained that grass had to be killed because of weeds and that the lawn would be repaired when the lawn was aerated and overseeded. I've had numerous neighbors ask what happened to our lawn.
When I called to find out about the schedule for aeration I was told we never signed up for that service! So in other words they killed a large part of our lawn and offered to repair it if I signed up for more services. Where is that guarantee? Let's not talk about the money we already spent for chemicals and fertilization. Wish I could post pics - you would never use this service.

When I moved to Charlotte years ago I was looking for a personalized approach to all things landscaping related. RDS Lawn Care proved to be a great decision! Aaron and his team provide a very customer centric approach and understand the meaning of customer service. The RDS team provided everything from lawn treatments to landscape consulting to lawn maintenance and yard upkeep.

Having owned a small lawn maintenance business and studied proper care of lawns, I became frustrated with my own lawn! I was having fungus problems as well as other issues that by summer's end looked like I had done nothing to maintain my lawn and found myself starting over each fall. I have known Aaron and his family for years as honest, hard-working folks. RDS was establishing a great reputation in our community, so I decided to give him a call and see if he could determine what was wrong with my lawn.
One phone call and he was out there that afternoon to look over my situation. Within minutes he had diagnosed a huge part of my problem.over fertilization.yep.too much of a good thing! At no charge he gave me all the advice I needed to help my yard recover. I asked him to give me a price on taking over my lawn maintenance (I still do the mowing). Within 5 minutes he had crunched the numbers and showed me my annual cost.
I knew how much I was spending doing it myself and was amazed at how reasonable he was. I am now going on my 5th year and have a beautiful weed free lawn that is green year around. I receive timely emails from RDS advising me of things I should do, especially how and when to water my lawn. While others enjoyed a crunchy brown lawn this year, my lawn remained beautiful with minimal watering.
The seed he uses is superior to anything I have found on the market. His staff is always courteous and respectful of my property and folks who may be around. RDS is NOT a spray and go company. Aaron continues to educate himself and his staff on the best lawn establishment and maintenance programs including annual seminars at NC State University. If you want a more than a lawn service that sprays your yard a few times, plugs and throws out some seeds in the fall.look no further. I highly recommend RDS Lawn Service. They are reliable, take the time to do the job right and the lawn looks great. My husband really appreciates that Brandon takes the time to answer his questions. At first I thought the prices were a little high compared to some of the other lawn services but they really aren't because they truly take care of the yard - not just doing one thing and leaving even if more is required.
