Peak Landscape Inc. is a quality driven full service landscape firm. We design / install / maintain landscapes of all shape & sizes in the Truckee, Lake Tahoe & surrounding areas. We own and maintain all of our own equipment. We even have equipment that can fit thru a 36'' wide opening to aid in excavation for irrigation, patios, planters, trees, plants, lawn removal, etc.
Practicing good defensible space is an important part of being a property owner in Lake Tahoe. US Forest Service records show that over the last 35 years over 150 fires burned in or within a two-mile radius of North Lake Tahoe. One of the goals of the forestry department is to help property owners bring their properties into compliance with state, local and association fire safety standards.
The process of mechanically removing small plugs of thatch and soil from the lawn is commonly called core aeration. This is different than other soil cultivation practices, such as spiking and slicing. If the service is not performed when and where it's needed it can create problems for a customer's lawn.

Always come back to Brian and Peak. Redid my patio and walkway last year, fixed a drainage problem promptly, installed lawns in front and back with irrigation. This crew is professional, clean, easy to communicate with, and on time and budget. I am hiring them again for a patio extension and hot tub addition.

We hired Peak Landscaping to build a fence for your property. We put down a deposit in the fall and agreed on a timeline. In the spring, after requesting some minor changes to the positioning of the fence (on our neighbor's request), Brian threatened to pull out of the job entirely. His crew constructed the fence only after we agreed to pay quite a bit extra for what amounted to an extra hour of their time to change the layout.
While the fence construction was excellent, the staining was sloppy as they stained our neighbor's plants. He then competent ghosted on a previously discussed plan to stain our deck. Overall I'm disappointed in his lack of professionalism and cannot recommend his company.

Our overall experience with Peak Landscaping was great from beginning to end with our back yard project. We already had a nice backyard but lacked usable living space. Brian from Peak walked us thru the proposal giving us great ideas on how to maximize usable space. His knowledge was an asset and he created a flow in our backyard that we hadn't even considered He made an extra suggestion to add a privacy fence and new gate up front, again, this is something we never even thought of and we are so happy with it.
We got the estimate and a timeline which both proved to be on the mark, Work was started and finished when promised and there were no surprises when we received the invoice. All of the workers were very professional and courteous. At the end of each day the yard was put back to normal as much as it could be. We have a fenced yard and that had to be removed for the excavator to come in, But each day after they finished a temporary fence was put up to keep our dogs and cats in the yard. The finished patio is awesome, we are able to enjoy our yard so much more and we could not be more pleased with the results!

Just a short review to give my experience. After having a landscape installed by another contractor (they are the biggest in town, used them based on a slightly lower price and promises of fast completion.unkept promises btw!), I had Peak complete the job. Unfortunately, much of what the other contractor installed had to be redone. Peak obviously knew how to properly install all of the irrigation, pavers, lighting, and plants.
Unlike the overcharges by the other company (on stuff I never requested!), Peak stuck to the estimate and finished promptly. They even returned when I called for a plant warranty a year later. They were not the cheapest on the original bid but since there were no extras and the warranty is great I really wish I had used them to begin with (would have saved considerable money). Trust your instincts and use the contractor you feel the most comfortable with.
