Great selection of plants. However, beware if you're considering getting a job here. The owner is a piece of work. A former employee's final paycheck went missing, and instead of taking care of it for her like an employer should, he has been acting extremely unprofessional. He blames her for it and has been saying that her attempts to legally get what's rightfully hers is making HIM look bad. This can't be the first time in this company's history that a PAPER CHECK has gone missing.

Surry Gardens has a good selection of well-grown plants. Unfortunately, you'd better know exactly what you need, because this business does not seem to believe in or care about customer service. Some of the front line employees are helpful. The management seems to despise the customers and doesn't make the slightest effort to be helpful or polite.

We contracted for them to do a plan for landscaping our lake property. She came out and viewed property June 6. Said she'd do a plan and make recommendations on plants. It's now august 27 We never heard from her once. Made multiple calls and spoke to her. Lots of excuses. No results. Totally unprofessional and unreliable. i would not accept a thing Surrey says at face value. We have now lost the entire summer. Go somewhere else.

They agreed to do a landscaping plan for our lake property. On June 6 she came to our house and viewed and measured property and said she'd give us a plan to move ahead. We were very excited. It is now August 27 and we have received no plan. No communication. Nothing. We have called multiple times and all we get is the run around and excuses. Bottom line-we have lost the entire summer because they promised a landscape plan and we waited and waited. We're completely disgusted. Surrey is unreliable. Don't count on them to follow through.

We asked Surrey Garden to come to our home in January, to discuss some serious planting and gardens in our new home. She took pictures, told us to fill out forms (we did twice) and never heard anything back. So we called again, and she was going to get back to us. Long story short, we are 4 months later, and after a few more phone calls were just told they are "too busy". Would have been nice to have been told that 3 months ago.

We chose some houseplants. When we went to pay we had to ring the bell several times. While waiting several employees came in none of them offered to help us or get someone to cash us out. After 10 minutes an employee came and asked if we were ready to cash out. With each item we were buying she gave us the price and asked if we wanted to purchase it.

The place is a lot bigger than I expected, greenhouse after greenhouse, nice healthy plants, and variety you don't find elsewhere. Yes they are a bit more expensive than the "big box" but the plants are fuller and better quality. Oh any garden buff could go overboard without any trouble! Only concern was that the greenhouses and various areas where they have plants are not marked well, it can be very hard to find things and the staff people don't wear any kind of ID so we did a lot of unnecessary hiking around. All in all we agreed it was worth the extra 20 miles to go there.
