These folks are amazing with customer service and quality turf. Margaret helped me with selection, Chris with delivery and the "expert" forklift operator (seriously gentle & knew what he was doing) helped with drop off. From the first phone call, they more than spot on. They have reasonable prices, but just as important, they have excellent service. Thank you for the delightful experience and my beautiful green grass!

Modern Turf's customer service and internal communication procedures are astonishingly horrible. Not only does my yard look worse now than when I was taking care of it on my own, they fail to contact customers when requested and instead just show up and do things on your property without your consent. I submitted an online request on June 1 for someone to contact me about a specific weed problem, because its almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone in the office.
They did not call me back, but instead scheduled a weed treatment application for June 4th without telling me. Since I had not heard from them on June 3rd I called the office to cancel my service and get a refund on the pre-payment I had made for the rest of the year. During that phone call, I still wasn't told about the scheduled service for June 4th, and the service wasn't cancelled.
I applied my own herbicide yesterday, and I didn't find out that they sprayed my yard today until I got home to find a notice hanging on my door. My yard has now been sprayed for weeds 3 times in 2 weeks, with grass that is already discolored and not growing from the stress of their previous products and the unusually cold spring. When contacted, I was given nothing but excuses about being short staffed. I'm glad that they do not have to pay many staff members right now, because they will never see another dime of my money in the future.

It's been a pleasure and great honor meeting and working with everyone from Chris at the company HQs who no matter how busy he was he always returned my calls and even though I'm not a large purchaser he treated me just as importantly, to Greg and Byron who delivered the pallets of celebration Bermuda grass, placed it where I needed it and both were very professional and very friendly.
This whole experience was great. As far as the Sod there wasn't any waste. Out of 11 pallets only 2 pieces were what you call torn but was used to fill in gaps. I recommend if you are planning on doing either something small or large at least give these guys a call because the product is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered our centipede sod about a week ahead of time. Got a call that it had come in early. I initially thought we needed an entire pallet, ended up only needing a half pallet. Modern Turf was fine with me only taking half. We've had the sod down for about three weeks and it looks amazing! Modern Turf will be my go to for any sod or landscape needs in the future!

There's nothing bad that I can say about this place cuz I really don't I know it well I do know that the young lady inside was very nice and helpful and provided information regarding different types of sod and the ability for someone to come out and take a look at it free of charge so is it worth that absolutely that way you know what you're doing I gave you three cuz I've never tried your products not because it was in a great place

Modern turf supplied the best quality Zorro Zoysia for my house. Delivered the SOD ONTIME. The delivery crew's are very nice and helpful. Scott in customer sales did an excellent job and getting the quality sod on the scheduled time. He is prompt in responding the phone and made my life easy. Don't waste your time or hard earned money! Modern Turf allowed fungus to damage our yard, leaves on trees, leaves on plants, and decorative rock's! I told the technician on numerous occasions that something was wrong with our yard. He said it was fungus and that he would tell somebody at the main office, but nothing was done. Another technician came to my home and said that he would fix the problem, but once again, nothing was done.
The fungus got worse and moved to other areas of my yard. This problem could have been prevented if Modern Turf would have aggressively treated the fungus from the onset instead of downplaying it. Two employees came to my home today and gave me a bunch of B/S, excuses, and reasons why they can't assist me. One of them lied and said that he initially talked to my wife about the problem, among other things.
Take your business to a reputable company (there are others in Columbia) who will do what they say they will do and also adhere to customer satisfaction and producing a quality product, instead of giving excuses. There is more to tell but I do not have enough space to put all the words. VETERANS BEWARE!

Excellent Service. Both Thomas Reeder and Tyler Branham were professional and took there time to explain the intricacies that is involved in producing a well manicured and healthy lawn.
