Wholesale growers of exceptional, field-grown, fully finished trees and shrubs for the landscape industry throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Good soil is a gift and ours is a deep, well-drained, silt loam of the highest productivity available anywhere in the U.S. To absorb all the goodness of it, our plants spend more time in the ground.
And our root balls capture most of the existing root system because they exceed industry standards by at least one size. A recurring problem that all of us face in this industry is availability: finding the plants we need when we need them.

Our growing systems, processes and technologies are informed by our embrace of experimentation and innovation. Your success as a landscape professional depends on developing long-term partnerships with the most reliable growers as trusted sources for high quality plant stock. This eBook will help you in your search by identifying key characteristics to look for in a grower capable of producing plants that have year over year consistency in health, size, and fullness.I chose the site for Waverly Farm based on its high quality soil.
Waverly Farm owner Jerry Faulring writes a regular column called 'It's Time for Sharing' for Free State Nursery, Landscape & Greenhouse News, a publication of the Maryland Nursery, Landscape, and Greenhouse Association (MNLGA). Published three times each year, Jerry's articles are straight up stories of his successes and failures on the Farm with an intent to reflect on his experiences as a grower and share what he's learned. High clearance tractors have come a long way since they were MacGyvered in the field by farmers trying to solve agricultural problems on the fly.
You've probably been in this situation many times: You've tracked down 1,200 boxwood of the same size from three different sources with deliveries timed just right for the client's installation. Then grower number one calls to tell you they don't have all the boxwood you need. That sends you scrambling for another source.
Purchasing the best plant material for the best price--that's what we all want. And the best field production growers are driven by a desire to produce and sell high value plant material for a fair price. At each stage of the sales process -from grower to buyer to residential or commercial customer- everyone has the same plant pricing questions: Are we getting the best plant for the price? What makes this one worth more than the others we were considering? Can I get something nearly as good for less?

Being a new client of Waverly Farm, they simply give you the easy button when it comes to doing business. Not only did they delivery superior product 3 states away to three different sites, they were also understanding of outside variables which led to a delay in shipping of this product from the original planned date. As a buyer, they certainly take the guess work out of the equation. Thank you.
