Common bermudagrass is a very aggressive perennial, warm season grass with an extensive, spreading root system. Because of the invasive nature of this weed, complete control is rarely realized. However, MRW Lawns, Inc. Bermudagrass Suppression Program works well, and will reduce the amount of bermudagrass in your lawn by greater than 90% after 2 years of consecutive treatment.

I previously used TrueGreen, and my yard looked bad, and was full of weeds. MRW has made our yard beautiful, and really gotten rid of our weeds. They take their time, and are very professional. They took the time to call, and make sure I was pleased with the service. I would recommend MRW to everyone! Service: Weed control

I stopped him from spraying the grass and asked how does that herbicide know to kill the weeds & not the grass? Within 24hrs of spraying herbicide the deep lush weed free emerald green lawn turned lime green with a yellow snake pattern. I contacted MRW customer service the next business day and told them after the herbicide application my emerald green lawn has turned yellow, I was instructed to send photos which I did, An MRW service supervisor came to the property and said "your lawn has leaf spot disease a fungus, You need to get our fungicide package" I said to him the lawn was lush and a deep dark green then your technician sprayed it with herbicide and within 24hrs.
It turned yellow, does "leaf spot disease" turn a green lawn yellow in 24hrs? His response was "Yes! your grass is stressed from fungus and when he sprayed the herbicide it caused more stress to the grass" and proceeded to email me the package for 6 fungicide treatments. I contacted customer service back then another supervisor came to the property looked at the grass and said "There's no, weeds, grubs, funguses, leaf spot disease, brown patch or otherwise and he'll schedule to have the grass fertilized this one time for free and eventually the grass will grow out and green back up after about 5 cuttings" I said I have a paid in full contract and still have future fertilizer treatments so that's not acknowledging or rectifying the damage done to the lawn his response was "We're not going to charge you this one time to fertilize your lawn" I called customer service back and inquired about a concession considering they acknowledged that the technician's application "caused the lawn to become stressed" instead of attempting to rectify the damage to the lawn to the customers satisfaction instead they were attempting to upsell me more packages "Aeration & fungicide treatments" to spend even more money after the damaged done to my lawn (Herbicide burn from oversaturation) My contract is paid in full with several more services that MRW has to provide so I requested a refund for what I paid already for the services up to the date the lawn was damaged, Response from James Lanore "No all I'll do is credit your account $53 for that treatment for future services, I'm not doing anything else for you, I gave you everything you asked for" What I asked for which was a refund up until the date of damage which isn't even a full refund btw. it's a service credit nor did I ask for the balance of my contract to be refunded.
I asked to speak to the owner he said "There's no one higher than me that you can talk to, he'll just bounce it back to me. *UPDATE SINCE REVIEW: The operations manager Bobby Hudler sat down and spoke with me face to face at the property and eased my frustrations from the previous encounters with a customer service supervisor, service manager & James Lanore's unyielding stance to rectify the damage done and not taking accountability.
I can say that I do accept and agree to allow Bobby Hudler to rectify what happened giving him the opportunity to do so even though it's not going to happen overnight, THAT is the customer service I believed MRW is known for and Bobby Huddler has redeemed my faith in the company and hope to eventually say again I am a satisfied MRW customer.

EDIT : 10-5-21. I'm revising this to reflect the great job and 100% turn around from MRW Lawns. Last year, I was very unsatisfied with them, and felt they had done a poor job helping me with my lawn. After expressing my discontent, they had a new project manager assigned to me, and since then we have seen very improved results. While not perfect, the constant communication and advice, along with their service, has helped my lawn make a 180. Pictures attached are before and after.

I selected MRW Lawns based on the results from a neighbors annual use of their services. His yard is in fantastic condition. My large yard required fertilization and seeding. Patrick and his training tech showed up on time, and explained everything they were going to do. Aeration, fertilization, seeding and cut/slicing. A lot of work. At the end of the day, they got some assistance from another crew and the yard was completed well within day light hours. Yard looks like its ready for some much needed attention. Excited to see the results.

MRW Lawns have taken expert care of our lawn. They put in a whole new lawn for us, sliced and seeded it twice over the years, and have kept our weeds under control. Any time I've called with an issue, they responded in a reasonable time frame. I always receive a call before they come out, in order to confirm that the day and time works for us. We recommend MRW Lawns.

My first impression with Breanna was excellent, we're just getting started I'll post again when I see there results. This review is on great customer service and that means a lot, she was knowledgeable, kind and caring. She explained everything we needed to know cost what would be done and we'll get an free evaluation of the grass and what may or may not be needed, and I like that. My neighbors grass is beautiful so between the reviews, my neighbors lawn and Breanna's customer service we can't wait for the service to begin.

Seeing is believing! Jimmy recommended to organically burn my grass and start from scratch. That was either going to be the best decision or the worst. Fast forward, ladies and gentlemen that decision became the best decision I have ever made for my lawn. Trust in Jimmy's analysis and the crew at Mrw lawn. They have themselves a happy customer!

Paid in advance for the first year. Next year rolls in and there is little difference but we thought we would give them another shot. Front looks better, but the back area of the house looks bad. Lots of bare spots, along with moss, weeds. We paid for another year but called them about the back area. A representative comes out and tells us, for a price, they can fix the back. Huh? We already paid for it and they want us to pay again? I think not!

Absolutely the best lawn service in the DMV! I've used True Green and Scott's and there is really no comparison. Family owned business, who treats me like their own. Responds to all my concerns, questions, and requests. They work will me and my budget constraints, which is truly the best! I would recommend them everyday - all day! :-

There are a lot of good things about this company, but one things stood out as particularly important to me. It might sound a little weird, but I guess you had to be there, and it's something I appreciated. A man from MRW serviced our lawn today. Not only was our lawn fully and thoroughly covered, but he was very professional. I happened to have been in the basement at the time when he came, and I saw him walk by.
He didn't look in the basement door window or glass at all, even though some people probably would have! I know some people get curious & might try to peak in windows. There's no way he could have seen me either. He just serviced the lawn, and kept it moving. I was impressed. Thanks!

I used to be skeptical of all lawn services, and I still am of some of the 'big name' companies. However, I had reached my limit with our lawn. It was huge (well, for my time and abilities), and every time I would mow it, I would despair at the worsening condition. Bald spots, three or four different kinds of grasses and as many colors, onions, chickweed out of control.
I was convinced that that the entire back lot was nothing but chickweed, and if I mowed it short enough to cut the leaves off, it 'sort of' looked like grass. I noticed the guy across the street used MRW because I would see them out there adding fertilizer occasionally. His lawn was really nice. So. I called. What could it hurt? After only one year that included some heavy weed/herb killer applications, and a slice core seeding, it was like something I would want to roll in as a kid. ONE YEAR.
That next spring I couldn't believe it. It was actually a beautiful and bright, one-shade-of green, and it was soft and fluffy and thick. I had to learn how to mow real grass again because if I let it get too high, my mower would choke on it. I didn't think anyone could simultaneously destroy all those weeds and return it to grass without making the lawn look apocalyptic-ally neglected. These guys know what they are doing, and actually do the work to get it right. I only wish they were out here where we now live in CA.

A huge disservice, unreliable! Communication is a joke! Hard to get them to service home as agreed. Very misleading they say one thing and do another.they mentioned it was important to treat for ticks and fleas in a timely manner and it's almost impossible to get them out on property. We have missed work because they don't show up or have courtesy to call and cancel. Our dogs and kids come in with ticks, I don't recommend this company at all. I've spoken with manager and to no avail.

I switched to MRW Lawns in the fall of 2015. At that time they suggested that the front and back lawns be renovated because of the different types of weeds and grasses that had grown in. I took them up on their suggestion in the fall of 2015. They said that it would take about 2 years for the lawn to grow back and fill in. After the first year (2016) I was excited about the improvement. Nice lush, green grass. My neighbors all admired my lawn which was the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks MRW!

I've been using MRW Lawns for a few years now and they've been great. The office staff is friendly and they call back on the few instances you have to leave a message unlike Denison Landscaping, who may or may not call you back. The people that show up at the house are also friendly and suggest other services without being pushy about the up sell.
My lawn looks great. I get compliments on it all the time. It would cost me almost as much to do it myself and they have the tools and expertise. Most of the time they show up while I'm at work and treat my lawn without really needing too much interaction from me but they are very responsive when you do need to talk to them. I have also used them for seeding, aeration and such. I highly recommend them. Even a couple of neighbors have joined in.

Through the years MRW has transformed my yard from poor to one of the better looking lawns in the neighborhood. I appreciate MRW's dedication to the needs of my lawn, trees, bushes, and maintaining a pest control barrier around my home. Their emails are also very informative as to what I could further do to add to the maintenance of my lawn. MRW can be reached by phone or email for anything I need or any questions I may have. All there is left to say is thank you for all your services throughout the years.

I have been with MRW Lawns for routine lawn care almost continuously since the early 1990's when I purchased my home. Tried another service briefly but was unsatisfied and came back to MRW. They have always been quickly responsive to the minimal number of issues I have reported (immersion of weeds). I see my neighbors laying sod and using other services but they can't seem to get the same results. I am proud to say that my lawn looks the best on the street.
