Don King Landscaping

We were in drastic need of a large scale clean up of our landscaping and replacement of our lawn. Don was extremely quick to respond when I initially reached out and performed an personal visit the next day. He was very helpful and informative during the walk through of the property, provided a plan to get us healthy, and had a team scheduled to come out only two days later. Both our front and back yards look reborn! I have already had multiple neighbors compliment the transformation. Thank you Don!

You better do your homework before you hire Don King. Hiring Don was the worst experience I have ever gone thru with a landscaping company. He was yelling racial slurs at his workers. It's amazing to me how this guy is still operational. I feel bad for his employees. He refused to acquire a port o potty for them and told them to use the dumpster as their bathroom. I felt bad and let them use my restroom for the better part of a week. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Don & Kayla were excellent to work with for my commercial project. Don mobilized his crew quickly, and effectively and worked after-hours and on weekends to complete the drainage and irrigation repairs. I would definitely recommend Don & co.

Terrible. The quality of the work was poor. Don says he will do things and then doesn't do them. My requests were ignored. To make things right I'd have to remove and redo much of his work at a cost of several thousand dollars to myself. I hired him to do a fence and concrete among a few other things. Had I not been home watching the work, it would have been even worse.

I posted a long review earlier however it seems to keep being removed - not sure what is going on with that - all posted was 100% accurate. Feel free to contact me and I can give you a detailed review of all the problems I had with Don King Landscaping. I'd suggests you also look at other sites like YELP, as it seems this (Google) is the only place that this company is getting overall positive reviews. EDIT: Don, seems you respond to every negative comment by saying you either did not work for the person or that you don't remember working for them.

You did work at my house - concrete and a wood fence. The fence was a mess - your crew attempted to place the posts at only a 12 inch depth and only fixed it after numerous calls to you asking that it be corrected. 12 inches!?! The fence wouldn't have lasted a year with the posts only buried to 12 inches. That is one of the many problems with the fence.

I'm still fixing the problems. The concrete is pathetic. Numerous requests were ignored, and I ended up a mess of a concrete job. You didn't slope the concrete as you agreed to, the finish job is terrible, the saw cuts aren't straight. I could go on and on. The underground storm drain that you installed is falling apart. You left piles of dirt all over the place and didn't properly replace the mulch and other landscaping that was disturbed during the work.

Lots more but this is just a few examples. Your crew was at my house 10 days and you didn't provide your workers with port-a-pot - they had to do their business in a dumpster in front of my house.

I was really glad to find Don King's landscaping. I wanted a local company with a personal interaction. One of the reasons was cost as in the past my experience with large companies and corporations was expensive and cumbersome. At Don King's landscaping the customer is encouraged to interact with the workers. This makes it much easier to get exactly what you want and feel good about the process. Also, Don negotiated with me and was able to complete my project within my budget.

Unlike some of the large companies that make you wait a significant amount of time Don had his crew at the job site soon after we agreed on the price. I very much like that my calls were always answered. I can recommend them without hesitation. Don offers quality work and good value!

Don King and his team did a great job in a very short time! They took care of removing a large patch of willow bushes, along with landscaping on all sides of the house. These things would have taken me months to have done on my own. Glad I hired them! Services: Weed control, Yard work

OMG if you ever need landscaping done quickly, affordable and absolutely BEAUTIFUL call Don King. He brings a team of employees who are so kind, informative and respectful of your time and concerns. Don also assures and proves he is capable of providing the services he offers. LOVE THE JOB HE DID & I AM NOT AN EASY PERSON TO PLEASE. Thans Don!

Don King Landscaping gave me a completely new front and back yard in record time. Mario and his crew were efficient and went above and beyond what I could have expected. I now have the irrigation system I have been wanting for 20 years. Can't wait to see how beautiful my yard will be in the spring. Service: Sod installation

Use caution if considering Don King. We hired him to redo the sod of our front lawn. Initially, Don was very pushy with my husband and didn't even want him to take the time to talk to me about the proposal before signing the deal. What followed after the contract was made was essentially a circus. On at least 3 occasions, Don failed to show up on the appointed day to do the work.

And he NEVER called to say he wasn't coming. We had to initiate the phone call every single time to figure out why he had not made the appointment. Once, his reason was "You had company in town, I didn't want to bother you." We did not have guests over and who is he to just randomly decide we don't want to be bothered with a kept appointment? The missed appointments went on for a couple weeks.

Phone tag was endless as he can be very hard to reach. And then it turned out that Don did not want to do all the work that had been agreed upon in the contract. Apparently "front yard" is up for interpretation and he thought it meant just half of our front yard. But he said he would still do it all. But a day or two later it finally ended when Don gave us a call and said he had driven by our house and decided he didn't want to do it and would be giving us our deposit back.

We waited two weeks for our check in the mail, at which point I called him and he realized it hadn't been sent. We then received the check a few days later and are finally done with Don King for good. I am honestly relieved he ended up bailing because as much of a nightmare as it was getting him to do anything, I can't imagine it would have improved once he started the work on our lawn.

The problems were endless with how unprofessional, hard to reach, and unreliable Don ended up being. If you enjoy phone tag, unanswered messages, and unkept appointments, Don is your king.

Don's team remodeled my back yard according to my design, accommodating some midstream change requests. The result looks awesome! I was also happy with the team's care in cleaning up at the end of each day. Service: Remodeling
