Pondering Gardens LLC offers high-quality landscape design and installation from concept to completion. We are a small business with high standards and the ability to achieve them. We can integrate a variety of water features into your landscape such as ponds, waterfalls, fountains. We also install landscape lighting, putting greens, and low voltage mosquito repellant. We have the capability to add hardscapes to your landscaping project such as retaining walls, patios, walkways, stonework, and outcroppings.
When Brent Lother and his wife, Julie, bought 10 acres of woods stretching along the banks of the St. Croix River just outside Hudson, Wisconsin, they wanted the land for their dream home. For six years, they studied architectural plans and designs to make sure everything was perfect. Chadd was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient throughout the design process for our paver patios, firepit, and steps, and I was very impressed with his quality of work and professionalism throughout the project. He made a point to check in with me to make sure I was happy throughout the installation period and made adjustments as needed. It turned out beautifully and I would definitely recommend Chadd and Pondering Gardens!

Our experience with Chad and Pondering Gardens was exceptional from our initial meeting through clean up. His design was beautiful and dealt with our struggle to landscape our deeply wooded backyard where we had had difficulty growing grass on the slopes leading to our walkout area. He tackled drainage issues, as well as, giving us natural outcropping steps, boulders and flagstone walkway, plus a beautiful plan for plantings. I found Pondering Gardens online when specifically looking for a local company with (legitimate) higher ratings to help ensure a good overall experience. We needed to add a smaller double tier retaining wall behind our garage to fix a grade issue & add a garden space. We weren't quite sure what that would entail, what materials would fit the job, struggled to envision the finished product, etc.
When Chadd saw the site you could tell he knew exactly what needed to be done, proved a handful of material options, and we proceeded from there. Chadd helped bring us along as the job proceeded, making sure we were getting what we wanted. Workmanship was top notice and pricing was competitive. I don't typically spend time writing reviews but wanted to share my positive experience in this case.

Pondering Gardens did our landscaping design for our new home. Chadd stayed within our budget, listened to our likes and dislikes and gave us an excellent value. He and his crew efficiently prepared and installed all the landscaping and plantings. The end result is beautiful. We've received many compliments.
