We couldn't be any happier with the fire pit and lighting that Southern Exposure designed for our woods. We had several companies come out for a design consultation, but Matt was by far the most excited to work with us and discuss our vision of the space. He shared our enthusiasm about making the space look as natural as possible in the woods and provided several suggestions for how to complete the look.
We are blown away with the finished product. It is exactly what we were envisioning for our fire pit. The crew was fantastic to work with. Pete's team really capped it all off with perfect lighting of the area. It truly feels like a mountain getaway each time we are out there.

Southern Exposure recently completed a new patio with gas fire pit, plus large walkway from the patio to the front driveway. In addition they completely reworked our plantings and beds. Starting with the planning process I experienced excellent and frequent communication from Matt. He got us quoted and on the schedule. He worked with me on the fine details of bringing our plans to life.
Once the crew started, they did a great job of communicating with us. They took the time with the retaining wall and patio to establish a proper grade and foundation. The attention to detail on each section was outstanding. The new patio is beautiful. Over the last couple days of the project they finalized the beds and plantings. The result was an outdoor oasis that perfectly matched our plans and vision. I'm really happy with the results and will be using them for our Phase 2 on the other side of our home.

Contracted with Southern Exposure for the half day yard clean up. Met with us to go over a plan prior to scheduling to review the scope of work. The crew did an excellent job in completing all planned work (plus a few additions that we noticed needing attention). Crew leader Ben? then reviewed the work with us to ensure they had completed the job to our satisfaction. Highly recommended!

We had Southern Exposure install a Charleston-style patio, a recessed stepping-stones walkway, and several beds with retaining walls, along with landscaping the whole project. They also installed lighting around the house and the patio. We were very happy with the experience! They are real experts in what they do, everything was done quickly and professionally.
The plants they supplied all looked very healthy and were generously sized. The few plants which didn't make it after a few months, were promptly replaced. Communication with our project manager was always extremely efficient, and his response was speedy. Working with Southern Exposure was a pleasure, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone without any reservations.

I just got done taking some pix of a completed project for one of my design customers- it turned out incredible! Had mulch placed around the house and plant beds. The job was handled well from start to finish. Very easy to get a quote, schedule the work, and have it performed. Gary and his crew did a great job placing the mulch. Took the time to make it look good. Very professional. Give them a chance on your next project.
