In 1974, Jesse and Mark Baker established the company as Baker Grading & Landscaping, Inc. Formerly the company was known as J.T. Baker Construction. Jesse had learned the trade of building roads under the guidance of his father Jesse Turner Baker, Sr. One of the largest timber and sawmill providers in western North Carolina at the time.
Baker is among the region's oldest and most experienced specialty and geotechnical site work contractors, offering a full range of services from grading and environmental, to complete turnkey site work construction. Our professional teams have the collective knowledge and experience for virtually every type of site work project conceivable from residential, to commercial, to environmental, to complex industrial and public works.

I've tried on 4 occasions over a period of about 2 weeks, twice by e-mail and twice by phone. to get a call back for a project that is located about 6 miles from the company's office on Bat Cave Road. To date no one has returned the call or the e-mail. I just tried to call again (5th time) and got an answering machine, at which point I decided to post this information. (Update - as of today, 2/25/2020, I still have received no response)
