Water gardens and Koi ponds are relatively new to most people in the U.S., but have thrived for 100's of years in Europe and Asia. Anyone who has toured the countryside in England has to admire the many pretty water gardens adorning every village and countryside home.

Such a pretty and relaxing place to spend your time shopping for your pond, they have so many different plant selections and variety of beautiful koi and other pond fish and tadpoles and snails that just makes you want to leave with a everything ready to make your pond a 5 star pond. Really encourage anyone with a pond to shop here before you try Home Depot or Lowe's because this place is for sure to have whatever items you need. Did I mention the staff here is super helpful and friendly which just makes for a great overall experience.

A wide variety of equipment, supplies, ornamentation and fish for the novice to expert, and most everyone in between. Shane is a wealth of knowledge and spent a considerable amount of time with me to better help me understand the system I inherited with a home purchase and how to best rehabilitate it back to pristine condition. I can't say enough about the knowledge base of the owner and family/staff on site and their customer service emphasis.

WGG is a great family business. The owner is very knowledgeable and has given me some great advice over the years I have been going there. It's a very enjoyable place to walk around and relax. I enjoyed there fall and spring fish show. You need to plan on being there a couple of hours when you go. There is so much to see. Shane is a very special man.

I have purchased aquatic plants, fertilizer tabs, and gambusia (aka mosquito fish) from Water Garden Gems. It's a very pretty place to visit. I've been there a handful of times. The staff struck me as approachable and knowledgeable. I have a few years of hobby fish-management experience, mostly with swordtails and other freshwater fish. I wish that I had a big enough pond to accommodate the goldfish and/or koi. Still, they had plenty of options for those of us with container ponds to enjoy.

We love this place and everything is has to offer! The owner and his family are so wonderful and always make us feel beyond welcome. If ever we have has problems with our pond they are quick to help us find a solution. We have purchased many fish and pond supplies from water garden gems and have never had any problems. The overall atmosphere is great!

What a despicable company when it comes to selling fish. When a koi is sold and put into an established pond one would certainly think it would NOT die within hours. Obviously, not a healthy fish, and the company could care less about a customer that paid $59 for a fish that died within hours. Take your business somewhere else!

Went to Water Gardens on Sat., May 12, 2018. Purchased a koi fish at $59.00. Sales person told us that koi were social and needed another koi. Purchased another one at $59. The assistant filled the bag with air and told us they were good in the plastic bag for three hours. Got fish to established pond that has goldfish. During the night, the second fish died.
The other flourished. Called store on Mon. the 14th. Was told very politely that the fish was healthy when it left the store. Asked for a replacement fish, and essentially was told there was nothing they would do. The person speaking with me mentioned that it was suggested that the fish remain in the bag for 20 minutes in the actual pond and then released.
I told him that the sales person never mentioned this to us. He replied that on Sat., they were often too busy to mention this! Oddly they had time to sell me another fish. So the poor fish died and they essentially didn't give a rat's tail. We will never patronize this store again. They also have a deal that if you buy three fish, you get a fourth free.
It would have been much better public relations to give me another fish or refund my $59! No customer service and they don't stand behind their products. Healthy when the fish left the store? How could they know that for certain? They didn't give the fish a physical before it left. I'm kidding but it was a bad experience. I feel badly for the little fish, Bonnie.
Her mate, Clyde is flourishing and oddly enough is making friends with the gold fish. So they're social but don't discriminate as to species. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FISH FROM THEM! I'm a bit disappointed with Water Garden Gems. I placed an order on their website and during the checkout process it said shipping is added to all orders. When I got to the screen where I input credit card info it displayed a shipping drop down menu which said "shipping: $0.00", I assumed this meant they offer free shipping. I had only ordered a few feet of liner tape after all.
When I received my confirmation email I wasn't so sure shipping was free so I immediately emailed Water Garden Gems. Keep in mind that all this was taking place at 1AM in the morning. Late the following day I received an email from Water Garden Gems saying the order had already been shipped by UPS and shipping was $10.00. Ok, so the shipping cost won't break the bank but it is a little steep for a few feet of liner tape.
I was more annoyed however that I sent an email inquiry within minutes of placing my order and the order was shipped before my email was even read. This means you will NEVER be able to catch an error before your order ships.
