It's going to be a dry summer. Learn how to prepare your lawn, trees, landscaping and more for best results. Roots of evergreens, deciduous trees and shrubs have a symbiotic relationship with a fungi called Mycorrhizae. This fungus invades the root cells of most trees. In most cases we would think this fungus is damaging the tree, but it is not. Mycorrhizae does steal carbon from the tree and in return gives back water, phosphates and other nutrients.

Love this small family owned nursery! They are very knowledgeable and have given me great advice about plants and trees. They also have bark, rock, etc. You can only buy in full yard quantities but they will allow you to make two trips with 1/2 a yard at a time. They have bonsai trees, fairy garden plants, and a full array of trees, shrubs and flowering plants.

Wonderful nursery, excellent selection of plants, trees, garden art, etc. Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Bought 2 trees and had them plant them for me, the guys were very thorough, helpful, polite, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I really recommend this nursery! They're the best in the valley as far as I'm concerned!

So I took my elderly mother to go find some bushes an ask the tall gangly looking gentleman what kind of bushes he would recommend she gave her dimensions and preferences and he pointed in a general direction and said that you have a choice of two. Then he walked off. Was seriously unhelpful we were trying to give our money to a local business rather than going to a big box store.
We purchase nothing I guess we'll look on the internet since that's the same kind of customer service we got it Adams. So sorry I didn't seem like you wanted to be there that day

I went to Adams Nursery for the 1st time today. I am helping out a friend in his new landscaping business and we had bid several jobs that we were in need of shrubs for. I recommend to my friend that we support local business especially with how hard hit small businesses have been with Covid 19. Upon walking in the owner was with another customer.
A fee minutes later that customer left then instead of talking to me immediately the owner went back in his office for what was a minute or two. Rude but, ok. Then he came out and was not friendly or helpful at all. Almost as if I was "wasting his time". My friend showed up, we bought almost $200 of flowers, then left to go bid another job. I left my pickup at Adams.
I assumed they stayed open till 6 but, did not check. At 5:20, I got a call from the Sheriff's department wondering why my truck was at Adams Nursery? I explained, finished our bid and got back to Adams at 5:35. Talk about a JERK when we got back! Told me I was giving all his workers a heart attack because my truck was there. I quickly got in my truck and as I was leaving the owner yelled."Maybe next time you should check what time we close!" GUARANTEE I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Adams has lost out on the thousands of dollars my friend and I would spend there over the years and I WILL NEVER recommend this business to any of my friends or family!
So much for shopping local! Guess Lowes, Home Depot or Fred Meyers will get my shrubbery business and Living Tree Greenhouse, Scent of Color, or D&B will get my flower business. Word of advise, treat your customers better!

I have been shopping at this nursery since 2017 and have found the owners and staff to be very helpful. To my surprise they carry Dave Wilson Nursery 4-in-one backyard orchard (semi-dwarf) fruit and nut trees and I added 3 last spring. They even offer advice on how to keep them pruned for maximum fruit production on easy to reach stock. This is an excellent small business in the Treasure Valley. And they have a big variety of landscape planting stock.

This is a family business and a labor of love. They are not as big or extensive as some of the other nurseries, but you get personalized service and so much information especially for the horticulturally challenged such as myself. We found some beautiful "decorative" trees and plants. The staff really takes their time with you and answers every question.
They even steered us away from some varieties that are susceptible to viruses and blight. Their prices are far more reasonable than the bigger places. They also have a selection of mulch, stone, and other ground coverings. Stop by Adams and say hello to Ginger.the sweetest little pup on the planet.

Excellent customer service and wonderful trees to match! We've been here a couple of times and have been very pleased with the quality of the trees and their service. Between my in-laws and us, we have purchased 22 fruit trees from them. They have a great selection of healthy looking fruit trees at great prices. They prune them there or can come out to your property for a minimal fee. They also provide great recommendations on how to set them up with the space you have. Another wonderful family owned and operated business in the Treasure Valley!
