I couldn't be happier with my landscaping! Honestly just blew my mind how professional everything was done and on top of that how everything was cleaned up so neat and tidy! I wasn't a fan of a consulting fee, but wow, worth every penny! I'm just a regular working man and these guys are the best in my mind! Now my neighbors need to catch up to me!

From my first contact with Joe from The Landscape Guys (owner), I had a feeling my landscaping project was going to be a success. He was VERY responsive! I was impressed with the communication with him. He always responded quickly, even before hiring them. My landscaping project was quite large, removing old existing deteriorated landscaping including large boulders, rock gardens, lawn, trees, etc.

Next came re-grading the land, and installation of new landscaping. This included new garden areas, boulders, rock, mulch, several new beautiful trees, resurfacing a patio, relocating irrigation heads, fill, topsoil, sod, and thinning a wooded area behind the house. Next came the plantings. We worked with their designer and she came up with an excellent plan.

There were many plantings including shrubs and dozens of different types of gorgeous flowering plants. The crew installed the plantings and the end result is absolutely beautiful! There were so many trucks coming and going to haul away the old landscaping and bringing in the new. It was an orchestrated and well-timed project! I was truly impressed with how all that was organized and blown away with the end result! Hats-off to Joe's crew! Ron, Gary, Mike and all the other guys, they did an outstanding job.

They made sure throughout the process that we were totally satisfied, and asked that if ANYTHING wasn't perfect, to let them know right away and they'd make it right. They were very respectful of my property and my neighbors' as well. There were many vehicles parked here, and many coming and going. Never ONCE did one of them put a tire even one inch on any of my neighbors' or my boulevard.

One neighbor told me he was so impressed about that! They cleaned up every evening before ending their work for the day. And I mean CLEAN! Sweeping, washing, organizing their equipment. They were extraordinarily professional and respectful. The end result was astonishing. The transformation was amazing! Joe has a great team of people and it was a pleasure to work with them. They made sure we were completely satisfied and happy. My wife and I couldn't be happier. We highly recommend them.

The Landscape Guys rebuilt a retaining wall around my front entry. Everything went perfectly from beginning to end. My initial inquiry was responded to promptly as well every other communication. The crew members (Ron, Brody and Mike) were personable, professional and incredibly industrious working for several hours on the project. Ron was a master at cutting stone to cap the wall perfectly. Every detail was attended to beyond my expectations!

Excellent work and customer service! Joe was able to fit us in right away and was SUPER accommodating. We appreciated his timely responsiveness and helpful explanations from quote to completion. We had some landscaping that needed to be removed and though it was a smaller project for Joe and his crew, it was a big deal to us. Everyone was friendly and professional and our yard looks wonderful now!

Last winter our shoreline experienced significant ice heaving and we enlisted Joe and his "LakeshoreGuys" to rebuild it. He advertises his guys as the hardest working, meticulous lakeshore guys out there and we were not disappointed. From the moment his team of Ron, Gary, Mike and others arrived until they left each day, sometimes late into the evening, they made it clear they wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with the results.

They took many precautions to minimize the impact to our yard and when the project was complete (on time) they cleaned up the yard spic and span. Joe and team were very pleasant to work with, did an excellent job, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs lakeshore work done.

We love Joe Palumbo and his entire crew! They did a fantastic job in our backyard. We have been wanting to redo our fence and landscape for years, looking for the right people. We had Joe do a curb/sidewalk border to replace a old block wall planter and extended it around two sides of our house. Throughout the process, Joe was exceptionally attentive and responsive. Even though weather was not cooperating, Joe and his crew gave us high priority and finished the project in fairly short order. When unexpected things arose, Joe worked very hard to resolve them quickly, professionally and without delay to the project.

He even added some unexpected perks. For example, I offered to let them pile leftover soil in a low spot in my lawn and I would spread it and seed. I came home from work one day, it was already graded and seeded. An example of over the top service, I had asked Joe if he happened to go by his supplier before he comes by for the last task, I could use two more walkway stones but insisted that he not go out of his way.

I came home one day to not only find the two stones, but they had placed them as well. Bottom line, the project looks awesome. Joe went above and beyond to make us happy, and frankly, I am difficult to please. Anyone looking to contract out a landscaping project should only hire Palumbo Landscaping. Seriously.

We were extremely happy with our experience with Joe and his crew. In fact, as soon as they finished one project, we asked Joe to return for another as soon as he could fit us in. Joe was very creative in solving our landscaping situation which involved decking/a hot tub and landscaping products. He made great suggestions consistent with what our vision and needs were.

Updated September 2014 This is to update my earlier review after having had a year to enjoy Joe's design and planting of multiple varieties of perennial flowers on the very steep and irregular hillside that connects to the beach at the bottom.

The arrangement of each plant, taking into account the type of flower, color, height and bloom time was perfect. This steep hill, which had once been an eyesore and source of endless frustration and weeding for me, is now a beautiful and interesting showplace of color requiring minimal upkeep. The results far exceeded my expectations. Joe enjoys the challenge of creating just what his customers envision -- and he certainly did so for me. I highly recommend Joe and his landscaping crew!

Palumbo Landscaping did a fantastic job on my front yard makeover. Joe had great ideas and suggestions and with his experience created a beautiful yard. My experience with Joe has been nothing but positive! My wife and I reached out to him this spring for shoreline rip-rap installation and creating a sandy beach for us to enjoy here in Maple Grove. Mother Nature finally gave him and his crew the opportunity to come out and get the job done. And we LOVE it! Joe was on site working every day, providing direction and being extremely meticulous with the work being done.

I find that extremely satisfying when the owner is on site working, not just providing the initial quote during your first visit. His crew is great, very hard workers (12+ hours of moving 6"-14" rocks)! Like Joe, they know customer satisfaction means everything. Our shoreline looks amazing, our beach looks wonderful, and our yard is going to be in better condition than before he started!

We had an excellent experience with Palumbo Landscaping. Joe worked with me to plan what started as a basic re-grading, and eventually became a bigger re-imagining of our backyard. Joe's team pulled up a problem stone walkway and re-built it, re-graded half the yard to fix drainage problems caused by a garage remodel, re-did our entire backyard lighting system, and constructed a custom-designed cedar raised-bed garden in what was previously an under-utilized section of our yard.

Throughout the process, Joe's communication was extremely responsive, thorough, and detailed. He made sure to cover every possible question that might come up. He accommodated changes we wanted to make during planning, including the addition of the garden, and a request for a special blend of topsoil. Joe and his crew were top-notch professionals while on site, worked very hard to complete the work quickly, and the final result was beyond what we could have anticipated.

We were scheduled to go on vacation the day after Joe started, but we felt confident leaving it in Joe's hands. When we received the photos of the final work on the third day of our trip, they exceeded all of our expectations. Joe even arranged to come back after the new walkway had hardened, to set up our watering timer to ensure the new sod was adequately irrigated during our time away.
