Rock Gardens & Nursery

I am a newbie to landscaping anything and everyone was super helpful. I needed a 1/2 yard of soil and compost. I received great advice when I called. I wasn't sure where to park my car and trailer when I got there but everyone was really nice and it was super easy. The guy who loaded the trailer was super patient as we tried to line it with a tarp (my trailer has holes). Definitely going here again.

Amazing! It's the only place we go for our gardening needs. They are locally owned and operated and have fantastic customer service. They even sell great Christmas trees! Definitely give them a visit.

I've purchased my Christmas tree from Rock Gardens the past two years and have greatly enjoyed my experience with them. They have a wonderful selection of trees, an extremely helpful and kind staff and a very festive setup. They also take your photo and make an ornament for you to have the following season. I highly recommend visiting them during the holiday season or for your seasonal landscape needs. Thank you for the experience, Rock Gardens family!

Stopped in todaySunday. Just as I exited my truck One of the young men working asked me if I needed help. I told him I needed 7 rolls of sod. He began to load them immediately as I walked to the window to pay. I also picked up Scott's grass builder soil and fertilizer. It as the same price as Fleet Farms sale price 5.99 a bag. I in and out in less than 10 minutes. Lori works hard and her staff is helpful ands friendly.

Very friendly staff here. Went to Rock Gardens today to pick up two yards of Class 5 gravel. Very easy, fair prices and even allowed us to pay up front and then make a few trips because our trailer could only handle so much weight. We'll definitely be back in the spring or summer to purchase landscaping rock for our backyard.

Great locally owned garden supply business! Small but mighty! Always someone around to answer questions or help load into car. Big selection of plants, trees and shrubs along with rocks, pavers and stone for any landscaping needs.

Ordered sand from them, already slightly higher than other places. But I figured, small business, and they are local. I'm regretting that decision now. They told me delivery was 39.99 for Monday morning, I already noticed they charged me 59.99, so I asked them. There answer was "it's a bigger truck now", oh OK, well I guess whatever. Now it's afternoon and I'm still waiting for my morning delivery, I've called twice, first time was told "we ran out of sand, but someone is getting it right now, so it should still be am".

Now 90+min later, no sand, called again. This time they have to look me up twice, like they have no recollection of anyone getting an order today. Then her excuse is "we're waiting for the delivery of sand, they assure me it's on the way. She said "we're relying on truck drivers, and what they tell us. " So moral of the story is, stick with the big box stores, they know what they are doing and actually strive to master customer service. Hopefully I will get my sand today.

I wanted some new bushes for my house but know very little about plants and landscaping. I was able to work with Carol who spent time educating me on plants and even helped me pick out an assortment of 8 and where to place them. The bushes were good quality and good size and the arrangement worked great.

Bought many plants from her last yr. One of the more expensive ones didn't make it through the winter and frankly looked sickly when we bought it. She assured us when we purchased that if it didn't make it she would honor her agreement and replace it the next spring. Guess what happened. She told us that "too many people try to bring back plants that aren't hers".

She treated us like criminals instead of customers. I went to another nursery just up the road instead and purchased $300 of plants. They treated us with respect. I'm never going back to rock gardens. It's all overpriced anyways and the only reason I shopped there to begin with was to support local businesses. But I'm not supporting a business that doesn't treat their customers well.
