After getting ghosted by another sprinkler company, I called Mickmans to finish a sprinkler system overhaul that had been left half complete. Susan got someone out in no time at all and did a wonderful job letting us know what to expect. She was so knowledgeable about our system and honestly worked magic with the scheduling. The clear line of communication was a night and day difference with what we experienced working with the last company.
When Scott got here he immediately got to work picking up where the last company left off (and fixing their mistakes). In less than two hours the system was totally up and running. Could not be happier with the results! The lesson here is call Mickmans the FIRST time around.

I go here every year for flowers, veggie plants, decorations, landscaping needs, advice etc. I love it! The staff is very knowledgeable. They have such a huge selection of everything! Their prices are a tad high but you get great plants and warranties on some plants if they die. I love their rewards program, it's free to sign up and the rewards are great. I also love their pre-planted hanging baskets. I would recommend "mick-mini-minsss" (that's what I call it) to everyone!

Not great customer service. Brought in a plant that had a warranty and it did not make it. It died within a week. We did not put it in right away as we had a week straight of rain. We were accused of not watering it and letting it freeze even though it was protected and the plants next to it did just fine. We will never be back. We have spent lots of money in the past. But never again! Very rude customer service.

Mickman Brothers has plants, trees, cacti for everyone! I typically visit for new soil or pots, but love to check out the bird feeders, and the cute yard decorations. They can be a bit spendy. My first purchase was about 5 years ago, I brought home a Piece Lilly and a humming bird feeder. Still have and love both! I do not have a green thumb but love having plants around the house. The employee was eager to help and I felt comforted with how knowledgeable they were! Go check them out!

Mickman's was hired to put rock boarders around all the houses in our association. They were supposed to move all the sprinklers out of the rock beds as well. Problem number one installed sprinklers under the edging of the rock, so when the sprinklers go off they can not fully come up or some get stuck up. Problem number two some sprinklers are still in the rock.
Problem number 3 one of my sprinklers was buried under the rock and plastic causing two other heads to not work. Problem 4 rock is sinking in many areas as I do not believe they staked down the plastic underneath well enough. I talked to Mickman's they blamed R homes which is out of business but don't worry Paxmar stated a new company LGI homes don't buy unless you want to be disappointed. Mickmans stated that R homes pulled them off the project and our association is not investigating.
So between R homes Mickmans and Associa I am getting the run around. Someone step up it's not hard to move sprinkler heads. Stop by Parkside north in Blaine to see the work to the detached townhomes. I have attached some pics.

Mick an Brothers does not return phone calls, they have poor communication. Last year we purchased 2 trees. We waited weeks for the delivery. They were delivered and planted. One of the trees was the wrong tree and the other tree was supposed to have the yard fixed around it but was left undone. We tried calling numerous times and left many messages without hearing anything from them.
It is now the following April and the front tree is dead. We have left more messages only to hear nothing back. We stopped in the actual nursery but the people we need to talk to aren't there. For the price we paid, we are disappointed. I would encourage you to shop around and then try to reach them by phone. I feel as if a large investment was wasted.

Let me tell you something you don't know if you are in the home state of Mickman Brothers which is Minnesota. Florida does not have evergreen trees. Therefore we rely on our Christmas Trees to get trucked in refrigerated trucks from up North. My family's Christmas Tree this year most of the needles fall off on a daily basis and I sweep them up daily.
No matter how low my air conditioning is and water sits on the bottom of this tree it's awful. So a miserable Monday and I open my front door for my food delivery and what is sitting at my door? A box from your company from my dear friend. But wait I got wreaths previously and yes it is a waste as it too goes bald on my front door because of our Florida sunshine.
This is a candlelit centerpiece OMG I must be really loved! So forget about the food delivery I am too excited to open up the box. The evergreens are so soft and fresh! I am in love. It looks fantastic on my kitchen island. It truly made my day! Thank you Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, and Merry Christmas. I will definitely look into you possibly shipping my tree next year please. Stay Safe.

A+ for Adam at Mickman's for his customer service. He responded to my emails amazingly quick and sent out a new tree. Unfortunately is was a the wrong size - a table top tree and it too was a pretty ugly, lopsided tree too. Another quick email and response and Adam sent the correct large tree and. it was a very nice tree! In summary, I don't think I will be ordering trees from them again. Receiving one nice tree out of three is just too poor of odds, especially considering the price. However, we have ordered wreaths from them (through fundraisers) for years and they have always been beautiful.
And while I'm disappointed in the lack of response to the message I sent through their website, their response to yelp reviews is excellent! We paid $55 for a large potted Christmas tree through a scouting fundraiser. It is such poor quality that we won't even use it. I contacted Mickman's through their website the day I received it and 2 weeks later have still not heard back from them.
We had to go buy another tree the same size at a local store - it's was $18. Next year we will buy the local tree and donate the difference to the scouting troop - I highly doubt the troop got $37 (the difference in tree prices) from the the sale of our tree and then we can be sure to get a nice tree. The tree we got is so badly tilted the top of the tree leans over past the huge pot!
It can't even sit in our bay window without the top touching the glass or leaning out into our living room. The tree is 28" tall not including the pot, but the top 10" is a thin, scraggly spire that should have been pruned. The other 18" of greenery include two huge holes that expose the trunk. Bowling ball sized ornaments would be needed to fill in the gaps.
We liked the thought that we could replant this tree outside after Christmas, but this tree is too misshapen to even go in my backyard! It is really ridiculous that the company would ever pass it off as a Christmas tree

Not responsive! My husband and I bought a house in the spring. The sprinkler system had been installed by Mickman's. My husband left a voicemail AND filled out Mickman's online form to request them to come out and winterize our sprinkler system. Their website promises a response within 48 hours, but we haven't heard back from them after a couple of weeks. Based on this experience I would recommend looking elsewhere for your irrigation system.

We were searching all the nurseries in the area for the perfect Northstar Cherry tree for our backyard. Most other were selling 4ft trees and we wanted larger. We stopped at our last greenhouse for the day and it was Mickman Bros. An employee was super helpful with telling us tips on what to do while planting and helping us get everything we needed.
The tree is gorgeous and not over priced. We will be back. Worth the drive. We actually already got cherries on the tree after planting in June! Can't wait to see next year. Thanks again!

This is a local nursery that I would love to support but have had disappointing visits over the last 10 years. We buy holiday wreaths from boy scouts that get them from Mickman's so it's a shame that their customer service does not match their products. It's a tradition to gift hanging baskets to my boyfriend's mom and grandmother for Mother's Day.
This was the 3rd year in a row that we got our hanging baskets from this nursery and this will be the last. When asking about care for the different hanging baskets, they answered in a very rude tone as if I was bothering them with my lack of knowledge in plant care. The ladies at the register (who were friendly) did not know the answer to my question regarding planting bare root trees so they directed me to their manager.
I asked about the containers for trees and she said "They are in the back of the building. You can get them yourself. We are too busy right now for me to send one of my workers away from their station to do that for you". Wow. this is their manager!? Talk about poor customer service. Needless to say we will not be supporting this local business anymore. If I could give them less than 1 I would.

I'm very impressed with the plant selection and the customer service at Mickman Brothers. It was my first visit today. I wasn't a paying customer. I was just keeping a friend company while he shopped. He had a list of around 30 fruit trees and other fruit bearing plants that he was looking for. He was looking for specific cultivars (mostly from the University of Minnesota) of apple trees, plum trees, cherry trees, peach trees, raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry bushes.
Much to my complete and total amazement, they had EVERY single cultivar on his list except for one of them! Wow! I thought he was dreaming and that his list was pretty ridiculous and unrealistic. Boy, was I wrong. Customer service was great too. Three different people came up to us in the short period of time we were there to offer assistance. I like that they also have a decent selection of seeds, bird food & accessories, landscape supplies, and human food products like local organic jams, maple syrup, and honey. It's nice to see local businesses like this doing well and not being crushed by the influx of huge big box stores. Way to go, Mickman Brothers! -Daddy Maxx Retro

The trifecta of awesome, affordable, and unique garden stores: Green Barn, Mother Earth Gardens, and Mickman Brothers. From landscaping to flower gardening, you can find damn near anything here. Sign up for the garden club emails. They offer sales & promos, class information, and changes in hours based upon the season. The employees are super helpful. I was in last week and there were no signs to indicate that all 5 flowers were 50% off, but an employee's let me know so I could stretch my gardening budget.

I have tried to do business with this place many times. Wanted to buy landscaping boulders, wouldn't sell me any, they use only for 'their' projects. Now I'm trying to order 3 window boxes with the same plants in all of them, no, they can't do that! Their prices are not cheap but they aren't going to cater to anyone who isn't ordering a large landscaping project either. I have never felt valued as a customer.

These people also run a Holiday Fund Raising site to "Help" youth and non-profit groups. My Demolay chapter tried selling wreaths and because they didn't sell "case quantities" on everything they would have had to spend 3 times the money to order enough product to fulfill their orders and hope that in the 2-3 weeks right before Christmas they could sell what they had to order in order to not lose money. These "people"are praying on non-profits and youth groups

My fiance and I used Mickman Bros. Landscaping for a major landscaping overhaul. Anne Marie was our designer, and she went out of her way to make sure we were happy with her designs, and she listed well - her instincts are top-notch and we LOVE her plan. The crew who built our retaining walls and paver patio were very pleasant, as was the irrigation crew. We will use Mickman Bros. again in the future.
