In 1949 Paul Swartz, utilizing his grandfather's knowledge and skill in the business, started his own nursery near Wilmot, Wisconsin. Beginning with an old Ford pickup truck and a wheelbarrow, Paul slowly expanded his business with an emphasis on personalized landscape designs, quality nursery stock, and the dependable service that our clients have come to expect from us.
As a full-service design and installation landscape nursery, we use our extensive nursery and plant knowledge to offer beautiful, thriving, and innovative landscaping designs to commercial and residential customers. Paul Swartz Nursery has experienced landscape designers, landscape installation crews, and many knowledgeable field personnel who work together to provide the customer with the best possible product. Our success and longevity as a business is due to our high quality product, great service, and high standards.

Ross and his team of workers from Swartz exceeded our expectations. We have 44 steps that go between our garage at a higher elevation and our lakefront home. The old stairs looked like National Park trail steps with a combination of landscaping timbers and concrete. The concrete portions were crumbling and uneven. Some of the landscaping timbers had started to rot. Swartz and Ross were a recommendation from a neighbor.
From the first time we met Ross we knew we were in good hands. He was professional and punctual. His estimate was on time and reasonable. We wanted to have the work completed in the fall of 2019. Weather and prior commitments delayed our start until March, 2020. The work was completed in 4 days and the Rosetta dimensional stone steps look beautiful. Ross included plants and bark to give it a really professional look.
The actual cost ended up being about $500 less than the estimate. If you live near SE Wisconsin get an estimate from Swartz before you begin any major landscaping work, you won't be disappointed.

I would highly recommend Paul Swartz Nursery for your landscape needs. I selected 7 Colorado Spruce between 6 and 7 feet tall at the Nursery, they are beautiful. These people know what they are doing and have the right equipment to expedite the job quickly and efficiently. They don't leave a mess behind or rip up your lawn doing the job.
