Finley's Tree & Landcare, Inc is a family owned and operated business with over 45 years of experience in the Los Angeles and The South Bay areas. The corporation came into being in 2006 when Mike Finley, owner and operator of a Landscape Maintenance business, partnered with his son, Steve Finley, owner and operator of a Tree Care service business.
Finley's Tree & Landcare Inc. operates a full-service Landscape Construction and Concrete Division out of our South Bay yard in Torrance. Our team of designers, project managers, and construction professionals are ready to take-on your next project no matter the size or complexity. Michael and his team did a great job for us converting our front yard to a water friendly dryscape. Would recommend these guys for any landscaping work.

My ordeal has to do with customer service, scheduling, and lack of respect if you are not bringing a "large" job to this business. Mine was a smaller, 200s/f patio of pavers. There is far too much back and forth between myself, the project manager(James), and operations manager(Brenden). Here are some highlights: I called for a quote at from this point forward I had to follow uo with EVERYTHING, even them coming TO GIVE ME A QUOTE.
Project mgr(PM) came to my home to give me a quote. Whay I was told would be a couple days was 8 days. Got on a Wed, signed pprs on Fri. 1.5 weeks later I called them to see what the hell. Was told on a Wed that my job would start Tuesday of following week, or Wed or Thu. Would have a better idea on Fri. What? I work and would have to take a day off, ended up calling off sick!
But I wanted the job done sooner than later. Oh, and the quote was the only time I saw James face to face. After furst day, I called James to tell laboreres to place pavers in a certain direction(Spanish speaking). Next day, he came to my house but never spoke to my wife. Gave team irections and left. She noticed they were installing wrong and was able to get them to correct issue.
Job was completed, bt I ended up emailing the Ops mgr to discuss lack of communication and a couple issues. To this day he claims he tried to call me, once, but never left a voice mail. All communication was thru email. Even said we would talk on phone regarding customer service short comings. Never happened. All I was looking for was an apology for issues and a phone call, never looking for any type of refund.
What I got wasa total lack of respect from a company. Hell, they even came out to make a repair and the guy showed up 45 minutes early. Had I not decided to be lazy and not run errands, he'd have been waiting on me. Honestly, didn't even know until tht morning what appx time he'd show up until I FOLLOWED UP with them. See a pattern? I hope the Finley family sees this review and responds to me.
It would be nice to "talk" to someone. But I've grown tired of callling them. Installation was pretty good, more than accetable, FYI Also, apologies for typos, my tablet doesn't format well.

Michael at Finleys is very nice and knowledgeable and did exactly what he said they were going to do. He listens very carefully to what you say and trouble shoots to get you exactly what you want and what will work for your specific job. He showed up to supervise the workers almost daily and was very receptive to the changes that we wanted as the job progressed.
The workers showed up daily and Eduardo also supervised the work done on a daily basis. Their cost for their services were also fair and reasonable compared to the cost of the quotes that we received before we chose Finleys. Their prices are very fair in this market and the work done is exceptional! I highly recommend them!

Finley's did a great job removing our dead Monterey pine. We got several quotes, and theirs was right in the ballpark. We were very impressed by how professional and fast the crew was, and how well they cleaned up after their work. We've used Finley's before, so this was no surprise. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

It was a pleasure working with Finley's Tree and Landcare. Scott had 10 men here within a few days after giving me the estimate cutting down 27 diseased Oleanders. They grinded all the stumps and planted 27 new plants (Lavender Star Flower) all in the SAME DAY. The workers were careful not to damage the other landscaping near the oleanders and did a great job cleaning up. I'm so happy and the price was reasonable too! Bonus! Thanks Finley's

Finley Tree & Land Care Services is family owned and operated business. The whole family are great people by the way. They service the South Bay area, maybe more but I'm not sure. They've done small jobs for me at my mom's house, but they also do very big jobs as well. I hear they're the biggest company of their kind in the entire South Bay area. They've always been nice and easy to talk to. Prices are reasonable and in line for this type of service. I highly recommend them for any of your gardening or tree cutting needs.
