Called for an estimate to have it not scheduled. Finally get a call that he's on the way and will arrive in 15 mins (4pm) after freeing up my ENTIRE day since it wasn't scheduled in a window. Guy shows up and leaves after 2 minutes of talking. Let me sum it up. I stated I wanted to have a 1 time job to start and then a weekly routine down the road. Kirk repeatedly asks if its going to be a one time job which I leave it open and say I would like to start a routine down the line. kirk states it won't work then proceeds to walk away from me while I'm asking questions about payments and service to which he doesn't reply.
Long story short I wasted my time (a whole day) waiting for a guy for him to then not respect my time and leave without giving me any information. I would recommend staying away from this company. I would give a 0 out of 5 if I could

I used barefoot throughout the fall, winter and until mid May. There was a problem or two and the owner came out and offered to spray heavier but the problem persisted. I complained but I was rudely rebuffed over the phone. He would not come out. Some people will pee on you and try to convince you it's rain. This complaint is a snippet of what I filed with BBB and Angie's list. The owner failed business 101 miserably!

I hired this company almost two years ago. They were wonderful at first and they do a great job when they actually complete the work. One day out of the blue, they just didn't mow my back yard. I called and was told I wouldn't be charged and they would follow up with the crew to find out what happened. I never received a follow up call. The next time they mowed the lawn, they left huge strips of missed spots everywhere with absolutely zero communication from anyone. I don't know if they got new crew members or what but after that I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Contacted and requested information on dethatching and aerating my yard. Was told he would come out on Friday. No real time given, just that he would be out on Friday. Well, he did show up on Friday and that was good but that is where it ended. He drove up to my house and told us that he couldn't do the work because "he couldn't get his truck and trailer in to turn around".
I asked how big his trailer was as we have had many contractors to the house with large trailers and equipment (including paving and a semi truck in when moving) and he just stated he could not do it. However, while here he tried to sell me on lawn fertilization services. Would not recommend and will not refer to others. By the way, lawn aerators and lawn dethatchers are not that big.you showed up in a pickup truck and they could have fit in the bed. If you don't want the work and are just showing up to sell other services that were not requested don't advertise what you don't want to do.

I have had Barefoot for a couple years now and they have my yard looking great! I was skeptical at first but they came over and told me what to do and then they started. I also like how they recommend what the yard needs instead of a guessing game. The price of what they do is very inexpensive and well worth the results! I have and will continue to recommend Barefoot to everyone I know.

I use Barefoot to keep my grass green and healthy. Every 3 months they come out and treat with weed control and fertilizer. The treatment is dry in 10-20 minutes and safe for my children and dogs. Very reasonable price compared to me buying products at a local home improvement store and doing it myself. Believe me I tried for the first two years of owning my home and bringing my lawn back to health. Neighbors (3 so far) walk by my lawn and ask what I'm doing. I confess I use commercial company called Barefoot. Give them a try, it was important for me to have a healthy lawn for my two young daughters to play.

I waited for over a week to get a bid. When Kirk came out to do it, he told me that Deleesea would call to make an appointment, which she did. The next day, Kirk called to say that they made a mistake and he cancelled the appointment without offering a later date and without recommending anyone else. I figured out that it was because he personally dislikes my politics, which were on display at my house. When a businessperson drops a customer over politics, they don't deserve to be in what should be an objective business. Kirk should be fired for this!

We have owned our house for 4 years and have struggled with recurrent moss, weeds and slouchy grass areas with products we bought at Lowes. We saw a lawn with Bare Foot's sign and thought it looked so good and decided to give them a shot at improving our lawn. Best decision! In 2 months we have the best looking lawn in our neighborhood. We have no complaints. Great company!

We have used Barefoot Lawn for many years and have been happy with their service. They use professional and caring technicians. One thing I appreciate is that they email me to remind me prior to coming so I can turn off our motion cameras. I have always appreciated the great communication with their team.

We used Barefoot many years ago, and when I needed someone now, they were the first ones I called. They were quick to respond and recommended which services I needed. They thatched, reseeded, and sprayed fertilizer. Within a couple days, there was a huge improvement in my lawn. I'm hope I can sign up for additional services from them in the future. For now, they will give me a nice yard again. I definitely recommend.

I have used Barefoot Lawn for the last seven years. I would not trust anyone else to take care of my lawn. They do an outstanding job of keeping it looking green, lush and beautiful. They are always very reliable and very professional and friendly. I think the only way they could be better is if they also did pruning! In a word.they are wonderful!

Deleesea E. Comment from Deleesea E. of Barefoot Lawn Business Customer Service 9/7/2018 Hi Ginella, We took care of your lawn from June 4th to June 26th, 2018 for a total of 4 weekly mowing visits and 1 fertilizer application. We mowed, trimmed, blew the driveways and walkways every week and edged your lawn every other week. On our first visit we applied Fertilizer with Weed Control to the yard and spot sprayed weeds in your shrub beds.
We also spoke multiple times on the phone regarding cost, explaining that the first month would be more expensive because of the fertilizer visit and the major clean-up your lawn needed on our first mowing visit. When you called an asked for a pruning estimate, we promptly sent our technician out to give you one. His estimation of $600 was a conservative price for the work your yard required, and reflected our 22 years worth of expertise in pruning.
You called multiple times to complain about the price, and we explained that the pruning wasn't required and we could cancel or reschedule it. You rescheduled the pruning to the next month and then called later to cancel service, which we promptly did. We're sorry you feel that the price was too high, but hope you are happy with your own trim job!
My Reply for that comment: Some things are better left unsaid, but since I'm picking up sarcasm in your reply I'll go ahead and put this to bed. This also a good indicator of how you all operate. Your team mowed ONLY between 4-26 June. Whatever you claimed you sprayed did not work, because we had dandelions everywhere. During that period, you managed to leave my gate open and let my dog out into the street for hours, then charged me over $400 for it. You're lucky I don't litigate you for that alone.
Your team did not trim anything, in fact you all offered to charge me $600 for that.no thanks we bought clippers at Wal-Mart for $14 and did the task in 15 minutes. My husband is military and from Arkansas, so when he got back he fixed the yard in no time. No thanks to your company, our yard is one of the best looking in the neighborhood. Feel free to come by sometime, you know our address. Our stance remains the same A- on advertising F on product and professionalism.

I was referred to this company by another landscaping company. I explained on the phone what I was looking for and was told some of it was not within their "scope". I underststood, and asked them to just come out and take a look. Even just to give me a bid on the lawn part. The man didn't even look past the front yard. Just said it's "not within our scope". What in the world do they do? Very disappointed and really quite taken aback.

Barefoot has cared for my lawn plus perimeter pest control since 2003. I have been extremely satisfied with their performance and the results in the yard. Yes, they do cost more than others but it has been worth it for me knowing they would come when promised and use the correct products for fertilizer and pest control. They know lawns and types of grasses. Any special issues that arose over the years were dealt with promptly. Their employees could be trusted to be around my home and pets.

I recently hired Barefoot Lawn in Lacey, WA to fertilize my yard on a monthly basis. In addition to the absurdly high fees ($175.00 + $16.00 tax = $191.00 per treatment for 1/4 acre of lawn), these people are extremely rude. "Kirk" (whom I believe is the co-owner) let my puppy out of my back yard this week through an open gate and then called me on the phone at work to blame me for his mistake.
Not only was "Kirk" rude to me, he was also extremely rude to my wonderful neighbor "Janet", who graciously caught my puppy and returned her home. I fired Barefoot Lawn tonight after receiving a snarky email from "Kelly". I don't need to pay $200 per month for this level of disrespect and aggravation.

I've read the prior two reviews and while I don't doubt their veracity, I've been a customer for years and had excellent service throughout. I've noted that the crew has gone beyond their contractual obligations and at times pulled the larger weeds out of the garden beds even though they are contracted only to do the lawn. This is greatly appreciated. I've hired Barefoot to do pressure washing and to clean up garden beds, take out trees and other piece work at times and never had a problem. They've been extremely professional every time. I'm sorry the other reviewers had the problems they did, but I thought it only far to tell my story as well.

Just like the last reviewer, Barefoot shattered a storm window while edging and refused to replace the window. They say they are not responsible for broken windows and that it is all a part of the risk of hiring them for their services. We just cancelled our service with them. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

I recently asked for bids from two lawn service companies, although not the cheaper of the two I selected Barefoot because of the way they professionally presented themselves. On their second visit they shattered our storm door when using a string edger. I understand that it is customary to not be liable for property damage but what followed resulted in me discontinuing their services.
The workers rang the doorbell and left. My wife who is recovering from a broken ankle made her way to the door and when she opened it the vacuum sucked the shattered, yet still in-place glass door into the entry way, making it impossible to close the door. She called the Barefoot office and was told that they weren't responsible for the damage and refused to dispatch the crew back to help clean up the glass. Seriously?
They couldn't help someone with a broken ankle (who can't bear weight on it yet) clean up the glass even if it was to the point that she could close the door? They may have the contract on their side for no liability for damage but to refuse any level of service for someone in my wife's condition is morally and ethically wrong.
