Shipshape Landscape

I decided to hire ShipShape Landscape to turn on my in ground water sprinklers and repair each of the heads. They never completed the job but proceeded to send me a bill for the job weekly. I began by calling their office asking them what they did with the only response given that they don't know what was done and that they just schedule appointments.

I welcomed them to do the service so I could gladly pay them their requested fee and they stated that it would cost me additional. I told them i'm not paying them twice to do the same job for me that they failed to do when they came the first time. We tried this conversation about the first 10 bills that they sent me in the mail until I gave up. Now they have the audacity to threaten to send me to collections, well I just submitted complaints to better business bureau as well as the new jersey office of consumer affairs. This is bad business and will not be tolerated.

We hired Shipshape to enlarge our pond and change the waterfall so it was not so loud. They showed up the first day short one worker. One the second day they showed up with an additional worker but he was not the worker assigned to the job and spent much of his time on his phone or standing around drinking coffee and water. They removed the original pond and extended one end and made it a little wider.

After they left we noticed that one side had the walls curving in rather that out rounded so there would be more room. Unfortunately we forgot to mention it when they arrived and they already had the liner in when we thought of it. That was our fault. When they started replacing the rocks we questioned why they were putting the large stones in the bottom because it would reduce the space where the fish swim.

The foreman seemed to get angry and walked away and told the workers to use the small stones. He seemed frustrated and rushed due to the lack of help. We went out for a while and when we returned the pond was finished. The stones and rocks along the wall and ridges looked sloppy and unfinished. There are many spaces where the lining showed. When we mentioned this the foreman said it was the best he could do with the rocks we had.

They didn't bring any additional rocks even though they made the pond larger. We also found some of the larger rocks in the woods behind our house. Several friends have seen the pond and also said it looked sloppy and unfinished. We now have another company coming out to see if they can fix the mess.

We have used Ship Shape for our home and our business for more than 20 years Tom and his employees are always professional and courteous We have Shipshape cut the grass weekly during the spring summer and fall. Then in the fall they always get the yard pretty for Thanksgiving and Christmas with the leaves and trimming the hedges for winter then in spring they come out and do the spring clean up of the yard and bring mulch.

What a joy not to have to break my back with all that work. Tom has a special yard treatment for our grass that keeps it nice all summer even though we don't ever water the grass. Thanks Tom and his staff for a GREAT JOB! Anytime we need Tom to do anything extra around the property like trim a tree or spread mulch they are always there to take care of us.

With a million companies in my area, it is not easy picking the right one! I made the right choice. The work and communication were both spot on. I am not easy to please, but Shipshape not only listened to my wishes, they exceeded them and their ideas were what i used! Beautiful!

We have had our lawn serviced by Shipshape for over 5 years. Extremely courteous and professional. Never experienced a problem. The office is great whenever I want to drop off a payment and the office staff couldn't be more helpful. We plan on using them for many more years to come!

Shipshape is great! The whole company is fantastic to work with. They are responsive and their work speaks for itself. Any yard, landscaping, or irrigation needs can be met by them! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job! Matt

Shipshape recently designed and installed a hardscape patio in the front of my home. The result is amazingly good with fine attention to detail and high quality. We had this company out to do a landscaping job. The prices were so reasonable. They did an amazing job. Everyone was so polite and professional. We will definitely have them come out again.

These guys did a wonderful job on our project. We had to grade and sod our backyard, replace the old concrete patio with pavers, and install a base for a shed. Walt and his crew did an awesome job with all of these tasks while dealing with some challenging conditions. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

I have a 20-year old Koi pond in the back yard that was leaking and starting to fall apart. Paradise pond enlarged the pond and gave it more than a new life. It looks great. The work was done in a professional manner and at the proposed cost. Very, very satisfied. By the way, Paradise Pond Supply does sell pond supplies at their office on Route 561 in West Berlin, contrary to the other one star poster's ignorance.
