VERDI LANDSCAPING was founded in 1977 by Jerry Verducci, a San Francisco native and state licensed contractor (C-27 Contractors License #440258). Prior to opening his landscaping business, Jerry was an organic fruit and vegetable farmer in the Petaluma area. VERDI LANDSCAPING has been a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business since 1998, and maintains an "A+" rating (view file). We have twice received awards in Pacifica for "Best Of" in landscaping, as well as from the Readers Choice Awards in San Mateo County.
VERDI LANDSCAPING is known for matching their client's wish list to the final installation. We help our clients visualize their new garden and explore what will work best in their particular setting - and within their budget. Planning to accommodate for coastal conditions, wild animals, and soil erosion are just a few considerations when determining what should be planted and what types of materials should be used. The bulbs and flowers, bushes and trees are all fun to choose and to decide what might work best for your garden.

Like other reviews listed Verdi Landscaping doesn't run their business very well. I have tried to contact them several times and have yet to hear from them. Their website contact form doesn't work (you get an error message). They haven't returned my phone call and they have not responded to my email. I also had the same problem about 2 years ago (for a small job) where they never returned my phone call. I live in Pacifica and thought it would be nice to use someone local. NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS.

Jerry is one of those humble and modest people who really surprise you in a positive way. I contacted Jerry based on the excellent reports he had from some customers on Yelp. A very modest man appeared. I listened to him at length. I was amazed at the encyclopedic knowledge he has of all aspects pertaining to landscaping and doing cost effective things to make a home more valuable. Jerry showed me one way to increase the value of our home $100,000 by cutting some limbs off trees so we have an ocean view.
He turned our front entrance area of the house into a beautiful area. He charged a reasonable fee. He is a friendly and smart person. He is well read and highly knowledgeable on many subjects. Like all very bright and talented people he is a little eccentric. If he does not show up right on time for an appointment, do not worry! You will get your money's worth and real quality from him!

I had a really pleasant phone conversation with Jerry, he came to my house and gave me an estimate for a small job under $4k. Said he would call me back, it's been 3 weeks and left 2 messages to call back. I went with J&J in San Bruno. It's a shame, his website shows great work, but I guess a small fry like me doesn't get any attention compared to $10k+ jobs. The least he could have done was call me back and say he is not interested so I'm not waiting for a non existent phone call like a jilted lover.

If you're looking for more than a cookie-cutter post-and-timber or speedblock retaining wall, give Jerry Verdi's outfit a call. He has a wealth of experience and expertise, and an exceptional design sense. The rock wall he built for us (a specialty of his, I think) adds a wonderful, organic character to our front garden. He's built three different project for us.
His crew was fast, thorough, and tidy -- and his work ethic is admirable. We highly recommend him for a creative, distinctive, and absolutely first-class solution to any landscaping challenge.
