Do not, I repeat, do not use this company. My initial visit to map out a very easy landscaping design went seemingly well. This was on a Friday and he told me he will get back to me with a detailed quote before the weekend was over. Well, it's hard enough to get companies to respond nowadays, so fast-forward to the following Tuesday and I still didn't hear back so I reached out. Finally, the job was approved and down payment made.
I was greeted by a coordinator via email regarding any future needs I may have. Never heard from them again. I was told it would be 3-5 weeks out. The workers literally came unannounced a few days later at around 7am with the team leader asking me where to put the bushes. When I showed him the area he winced and said all the bushes I ordered wouldn't fit and asked where I want the rest.
Why did I hire a landscape design company if this was how it was going to be? His answer was that they didn't give him the plans. And since the lead guy asked earlier if I wanted to cancel the job, I did just that. Days later I reached out to the company explaining everything. The owners response? My refund takes 3-5 business days. If ever there was a company that is sabotaging itself, this is it. Stay away!

We hired JTs to overhaul our boring backyard. We added a pool (they recommended an amazing company) and fire pit along with several patio spaces. It was a big undertaking and they were professional and responsive. They made the process easy! They were friendly, thorough, and really seem to have the process down to a science. They handled all our special requests and changes with ease. Our yard is beautiful and well built and we couldn't be happier.

I was in need of having some irrigation work done in several different zones in my front and back yards. James came out and and not only did the work, but when I told him I didn't know which zone was where, he kindly walked each zone in the front and back yards showing me what he had done, along with turning each zone on showing me where each zone is located, how many heads are in each one and what part of the yard each one covers.all with a smile on his face. He could have just pointed out each one and gone on to his next appointment. Big kudos to James going the extra mile!

Truck went ripping through our subdivision, where the streets are barely wide enough for two cars, speed limit is 25.he was going at least 40, didn't even slow down for those of us who were out walking. I normally wouldn't complain about such a thing, but getting passed that quickly with no sidewalks, and a speeding truck 8ft away from you and your dog, is a waiving red flag to never use a company.

I used JT's (a.k.a. Brite Creations) to provide and install Christmas lights. The first couple of years they were great. The install and take-down crews were careful and respectful and grateful for my gratuity. Then we noticed the install crew was a little rough. Banging ladders onto our new gutters and dragging ladders on our roof to access the higher peaks.
I was onsite and asked them to be careful and they complied. However they then took down the lights in my absence (though I do have security cameras). The crew literally ripped the lights off the gutters. While it was careless and disrespectful, it also left tabs from the mounting clips inside our gutters and bits and pieces of debris everywhere. During the spring rains our downspouts were clogged and over-flowed due to this. Clips keep finding their way out of our downspouts. (as of April 2022) When contacted Jimmy, Hayley and Jason were no help at all.
See the images below. Some images are from immediately after holiday light take down, the other image shows broken clips that keep clogging our downspouts - all of which we're left to deal with. We could not recommend JT's Brite Creations for holiday lights. If you use them I suggest not paying up front but waiting until AFTER satisfactory removal.

I recently purchased a house and cleaning up the yard and adding curb appeal was a big priority for me. JT's was able to fit me into their schedule fairly quickly, and the two employees who completed the work were very knowledgeable regarding their recommendations. I want to extend my appreciation for your entire team. This has been a really great process. I am constantly reading about nightmare scenarios with landscapers, pool builders and just about everyone. Chris was a great lead for the project, always very responsive and answering all of my questions in a timely manner, even on weekends. When I had concerns, he would come to the site to take a look and reassure me about the process. Eddy, who was on-site every day of work, is amazing!
He runs a tight ship out here and he too has great communication. Anytime I had a question, he would stop and answer it and explain what was happening. Each day before the team would leave, he would check-in to make sure I was happy with the work and to make sure I knew what was next. I know you deal with a lot of unreasonable people, and I appreciate that the entire team is always so calm and professional.
I will absolutely recommend you guys to any of my friends, family and neighbors. The only thing I could offer as a suggestion would be to have a more accurate initial estimate. I know things will change through a project, but I was quite disappointed when we discussed sod at the end and what I needed to cover what we initially talked about was almost double the initial estimate.

Originally met with JT on September 15th. We did not have a property survey, which he indicated he would need to complete renderings and use for HOA and permit approvals. He also committed to providing initial renderings and estimates between our meeting and when we could get a survey scheduled/completed. I alerted JT that we had scheduled the survey, but that it would be complete until November 18, to which he responded: " Hey Tim, I have to be honest I completely dropped the ball here.
I was planning to get you numbers while we waited for the survey and it simply slipped my mind. I can aim to get this to you by the end of next week. I am actually heading out of town tomorrow and will be back on Monday." That was on November 10th. Fast forward, I sent him the survey upon completion, and sent reminder emails, but have received no additional correspondence.
All in all, very frustrating experience and unfortunately consistent with other reviews. Especially bad as he came to us as a recommendation from good friends who he had done work for! My recommendation is not to waste your time. Find a more reliable firm!

I strongly DO NOT recommend this company for any of your landscaping needs. They do rush jobs with mowing and edging, they do not make sure the weeds are pulled. Even after one of their guys came out to do a "routine check" and I pointed it out to him, it still wasn't taken care of on my next service. Also, after reading a few reviews on here, I had the same experience of having of their guys schedule to come out to do a quote as I wanted some landscaping work done. I followed up a couple times and was told he would send the quote over that same week. 4 months later still not quote. Just a waste of time and energy here.

I've never left a bad review but I would caution against using these people. It's been months since our $8000 hardscape and softscape job and it still feels like such a punch to the gut (the before looked so much better than the after). Poorly spaced, expensive plants carelessly thrown about (many of which are now dead), job unfinished (we finally decided to cut our losses and have them leave), stone wall poorly erected (and had to be fixed because they didn't do it right the first time), sod completely dead despite tons of watering, . I could go on and on and on. Find another company and spare your yard. :(

I reached out to these folks after having been totally satisfied with a small residential project they did for me years ago. This time it was a complete cluster##** and I experienced many of the same symptoms as I see listed in other reviews, i.e. poor or no communication at all, unfinished work, having to chase them down for any updates or information at all.
Completely agree with others that their primary teams are bifurcated and do not appear to make much effort at all to coordinate between themselves. I completely understand the supply chain is under intense pressure at the moment, thus making procurement of materials difficult. I also understand that trying to maintain consistent crews that will represent your company well is also difficult.
That said, what I cannot get beyond is the total and complete lack of customer service and accountability that seems to be absent and this company. Never again will they get another dime of my money. And by the way. I just mailed them a final check and still have an unfinished project. They seemed totally at ease with that too. Telling.

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness, Value Did not replace a dead plant of only about a foot tall that was transplanted about 3 months only. Crepe myrtle was not trimmed based on the agreed job detail. Poor communication between the marketing/technical manager and the laborers in executing the job details in the contract. Would not recommend to other neighbors and friends.

I wish I read reviews before hiring JT's Landscaping. I hired them to build a paver patio and retaining wall in my backyard and had an absolutely horrible experience. There were problems after problems over and over again. First, they told me I would receive two weeks' notice before construction started, and then one day they showed up and started tearing up my lawn with no warning whatsoever.
Then I found out they had ordered the materials for the wall incorrectly, and they actually tried to charge me more for their mistake. They told me my project would take 3-4 days to finish, and it ended up taking two and a half months. For that whole two and a half months, they left my yard an unfinished mess. There was absolutely no communication between the design team and the construction team, and they made several huge mistakes that required corrections, and were careless in making those corrections.
They even planted trees in the wrong places after I went through a clear layout with the designer, and built the wall in the wrong direction. So the finished product has multiple visible flaws and imperfections, and doesn't even fit the specifications that I asked for. They also ruined my lawn and I'll have to hire someone else to fix it. There is no communication and no professionalism or courtesy. For a $20,000 project, this company's customer service, attention to detail and quality of work are absolutely unacceptable.

I called and left a message but didn't hear back. I also emailed them but no reply. I should point out that I previously spent 30k with JT to landscape my yard. They were responsive in the beginning, and Jimmy was knowledgeable and made some good suggestions. But once I gave them a big deposit, the lines of communication went down. Hopefully they get back on track.

Received an estimate after an initial meeting, then spent a month trying to chase them down to either provide estimate so I could start a service and get work done, or to tell me they weren't going to work with me so I could go elsewhere. Called twice, got two separate people, both of whom said they would have someone get in touch with me so I could start a landscaping service and get some major re-grading/drains installed and worked on. No one returned any calls, voicemails, or otherwise, completely ghosted. Buyer beware.

My backyard has been TRANSFORMED. We had no idea what to do with our unusable sloping backyard with. It is is now gorgeous - retaining wall, hardscaping and lights all around the house. Jimmy had great ideas and worked with me to get the flowering plants I like. His crew was very professional and repaired our deck expertly without sacrificing any of our ipe wood.

Relationship started strong about two years ago. Good communication and execution. As time progressed, the weekly crew got more and more lax. Concerns were relayed to the office and managers. Lots of pacifying but no changes. As of late, in addition to the poor weekly maintenance, no extras were getting done as discussed / promised. And we aren't talking about freebies, we are talking about installs and changes.
The pricing for mulch and pine straw literally doubled this year with no explanation other than, 'we used more this year'. That was the straw that broke camels back for me. We let them go. Lots of landscapers out there. Don't need one that is below subpar and super expensive. You don't get what you pay for.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. I should have seen the red flags when the estimator asked for pictures of the property instead of coming out. Things seemed to be good at first, but then services promised were not provided and visits became shorter and shorter. Now, 6 months after closing account, I receive an invoice for their shoddy work.

The estimator that came to the house to discuss the project seemed very knowledgeable and offered several suggestions. We needed installation of an irrigation system, pavers, landscaping, and our yard maintained. Upon reviewing the quote, I thought it was a fair price, so I decided to expand the scope of work. I am disappointed that my emails and phone call request to further this project went unanswered. If a company is too busy or not interested in a project, as a courtesy, take the time to let the customer know. As a result, we hired another company.

Initially this company was kind and receptive. Once all was said and done and the check cleared, they ignored most requests that the workers put down dead sod and the patio they installed is cracking. After several emails they sent some guy out who threw handfuls of seed on top of the dead sod.no fertilizer, no lime, no tilling of soil.he simply put handfuls of seed on the sod and didn't even cover all of the areas.
The only reason the sod was even there is because their bobcat destroyed the lawn during the patio installation process and I guess throwing dead sod down was their way of fixing the problem. I guess they can do okay work but bear in mind anyone can pay for a nice website and fake reviews. If what they did to my lawn was any indication of their service, then I would wager that most of their positive reviews are from friends and relatives, not real customers.

They, on the other hand, seemed only to be interested in providing good service until such time that they received all of their money. I now have to pay someone to repair my lawn since they seem to be unwilling and unable to do so. In addition, their half repair job on the patio caused more damage as well. This company was used by several neighbors. Last summer we started using there service for lawn care, and it was a mostly positive experience. We continued with lawn treatments during the winter for weed control and a healthy grass this spring. We have poor returning Bermuda grass, I have called at least 3 times with no response outside of the office staff promising to have them call with information. I have cancelled my service and will be looking for a new lawn care company.

Like another reviewer wrote, JT's Landscaping was very impressive when we met with the owner (JT) last summer to consider using them for our lawn care maintenance. We had installed a zoysia lawn the previous summer and it looked beautiful. However we made the mistake of allowing our kids to play soccer on it while dormant, so by the time the grass came out of the dormant stage, the middle was pretty worn down and mostly dirt. JT's said they could bring it back and that we just needed to aerate and add top dressing, along with regularly scheduled maintenance - and also not play on it during the dormant season.
We hired them and the crew they sent to do the top dressing came out. After they left I called JT's to ask what we are supposed to do since they left us without any instructions. We had piles of dark dirt everywhere - which we expected as JT's said it would look worse before it looked better. But the dirt was piled pretty thick. JT's assured us it was normal and to do nothing, it would gradually get absorbed into the ground and would nourish the grass, providing better, stronger regrowth.
Two weeks later it looked the same, I called again asking if they are sure we don't need to spread some of the dirt out as it seems to be smothering the lawn. Nope - all is good we were told. We called once or twice again with the same concern before our scheduled maintenance technician came out. Seeing the lawn he immediately agreed that the top dressing crew did not properly spread the dirt and it was smothering our lawn.
He came out himself at a later date to try to spread the top dressing but by then it was too late. We had the service manager and another "specialist" technician come out and both agreed, they had killed off parts of our lawn. In the meantime, it was also realized (and agreed upon by the service manager and technician) that they had neglected to treat our side yards or put the fungicide on our back lawn (which are all fescue) - attributing this to an oversight on their part and they vowed they would "do what it takes to make it right".
This reassured us until nothing was done for weeks, despite several calls. When we tried reaching the service manager, he was no longer with the company. We battled with JT's for months to get this resolved - all the while our lawn not being treated. Finally they agreed to credit us back the amount of the top dressing materials (not the labor) and also for the missed fungicide treatment for the back yard.
This was December and the zoysia was once again dormant and looking worse than ever. We accepted and decided to give them yet another chance, keeping the kids off the dormant lawn and expecting regular maintenance. Four months have passed and no services done, despite many emails and phone calls asking when they were coming out and being reassured they would come.
We finally sent an email stating that they have not serviced our lawn for the past four months, missing the pre and post emergent treatments and that our lawn, once again, looks worse than it did when we started with them, and asking for our credit on the account to be paid to us by check. They admitted that they had placed our account on hold during the fall and never removed the hold, stating it was an oversight.
No apology, no attempts to fix the lawn they damaged far beyond that initial damage we had created, nothing. Our lawn started out looking really great around the perimeter and only needed "help" in the center area where the kids played and it was pretty worn down. Now it is patchy with dirt and full of weeds all over the entire lawn. Plus our side and back yard grass is all weeds - areas that were all in great shape before hiring JT's. Don't use this company - they will make your lawn worse and will charge you to do so!

I was very impressed with this company at first. Very knowledgeable, good communication (while prospecting), professional, etc. But in the end they did a poor job installing stone edging around our home (wasn't buried deep enough, some stones literally just sitting on the ground). We asked that they rebury the problem areas and they were very not receptive to this suggesting it would actually look worse.
After some back and forth, they suggested some extra soil and sod around problem areas instead - I accepted. They installed the sod in the wrong areas leaving the horrible looking parts untouched and then sent me an overpriced bill for what was supposed to correct their poor installation. I am currently fixing these areas myself which is disappointing.
I will say this though, I bet if we hadn't paid them so quickly after the work was done we would have had a better response to the complaints. If you do hire them, I'd suggest holding your check until 150% happy, and if you do I suspect they're very capable of satisfactory work.
After some back and forth, they suggested some extra soil and sod around problem areas instead - I accepted. They installed the sod in the wrong areas leaving the horrible looking parts untouched and then sent me an overpriced bill for what was supposed to correct their poor installation. I am currently fixing these areas myself which is disappointing.

JT's Landscaping did a great job with our yard! We had major drainage issues in our backyard as well as a very ugly patio that needed to be totally redone! We now have a beautiful dry creek bed with drains underneath that drain perfectly! And a wonderful new patio! The owner, Jimmy, is super nice and came up with a great design and helped with the HOA approval process (which I was dreading).
The crew that did the work were great- very professional and got things done on time, kept everything clean while they were here working, and, if you couldn't see the new patio and dry creek bed, you wouldn't have known they had been here with tons of rock, dirt, and equipment- that's how well they cleaned up when they left! Jimmy stopped by multiple times to see how things were going and even took time help my husband figure out how to work our irrigation system!
We just had our first big rain since having the work done, and everything works perfectly- No more standing water in the backyard (much to the dismay of my 2 year old, whose favorite thing to do was stomp in the 6 inches of standing water every time we went outside!)! We can't say enough about our positive experience with JT's Landscaping! It was great from start to finish!
