Mulch Masters

Mulch Masters came through for me this weekend. I recently purchased a townhome and planted flowers in the front. All the digging and planting covered up the existing mulch. I was going to go to my usual home improvement store but was leaving Sam's Club and Googled to find a spot closer. Mulch Masters came up and indicated a 7-minute drive so off I went. It's not far off Atlantic Boulevard in an area that was new to me. It's mostly residential with a few businesses in between.

I pulled in and noticed the shrubs and plants out front. I went inside the trailer and ordered one small bag of red mulch which cost $2.96. Service was friendly and fast. A gentleman told me to follow him outside and he placed the mulch in my car. The nice sales person inside advised me when I pulled it out not to get it on my cloths due to all the rain it was extra stinky.

I much appreciated the tip; I waited till late evening just before dark to put the mulch down. The mulch looked great! And it will help keep the moisture in the ground which should help my newly planted flowers flourish.

Very disappointed in the topsoil we bought in February. It was supposed to be organic and without filler. The sample jar in the office looked and smelled great. What they loaded in my truck was NOT the same. It was full of red mulch, lots of rocks and even broken GLASS. It has a heavy chemical smell. I was very disappointed.

Will definitely be a loyal customer. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They have a good selection of plants and landscaping options but the #3 soil works wonders for a home garden. They're prices are definitely fair too. Plus we're all about supporting local businesses. Thanks MM!

Overpriced on bags of paver base 5$ a bag! And all were wet inside! Lowe's has at 1/2 the price! And dry! they loaded bags in my SUV in a pile vs spreading bags, and damaged my trunk! I will never be going back!

I got the soil mix#3. 1.5 cubic yards I purchased, loaded it on my open trailer, and he did a superb job of flattening it down on the trailer so it was compact when I strapped my tarp down on top. The mix is good quality, only a couple of very small stones, and lots of organic/fertilizer material compared to the normal load of sand dirt sold by others in the area.

In bulk it is the equivalent of the high dollar stuff in the bag at the stores. I will never think about going to anyone else for this type of soil for a raised garden bed. And to top it all, the 1.5 cubic yard purchased was more than the measured dimensions of my raised garden, so after a few rains and it compacts down, I will have a true 1.5 yards compacted. Fair people at a fair price.

Great Service, Prompt attention, The yard crew treats you like family. If youre not getting your supplies here youre going to the wrong place. THEY DELIVER ANYWHERE and the plant/ shrub selection i just saw was EVERYTHING YOU NEED. Thank you MULCH MASTERS!

I really hesitate to give this review. The lady at the counter is very nice and helpful. But after seeing my originally healthy lawn was completely poisoned and ruined (refer to the pictures), I can't help submitting this review to warn potential buyers. I was there buying top soil for my lawn, but I was recommended to another product of theirs called "Command" Turf Soil. Now, here is the brutal result after 4 weeks (refer to the pictures).

I only used it on one side of my lawn, so I can see the difference. All grasses that "Command" Turf Soil touched died. All areas that "Command" Turf Soil touched grew those nasty evil mushrooms. It really just broke my heart and now it started to hurt my wallet too. I am not sure if how bad the soil has been poisoned. I put down a lot of big box store lawn soil and tested half ballet of sod to see if grass can grow back. I will provide update with the progress.

Very disappointed with this company. We've already had 3 loads (5yards) delivered at 265.00 (potting mix) Called today and minimum delivery is now 8 yards for over $400. If we only want 5 yards, the delivery fee is doubled. We enjoyed going and buying plants from them and the potting mix to re do our flower beds. They have lost our business and we won't be referring our friends to them anymore. *** My husband called back and spoke to a guy who set us up for our original price. The lady I spoke to just wasn't on the same page. Happy this was simply an employee error

The place was fair, people were nice. We picked up a yard of gravel. We figured that a yard would more than work for what we needed. Be careful when they load you truck. They shorted us out of at least a third of what we paid for. We didn't have enough to finish the gravel bed. We called it was a little after hours on a Saturday. He let us know he was closed and to come back on Monday and he would give us more. Mondays not going to work so I recommend making sure they give you what your paying for. Me, I won't be using them for our projects in the future.

We've had mulch masters do two projects for us so far and they've been great! First project was installing 7 cubic yards of playground mulch. Second project entailed ground prepping ~500sq ft area around our pool, planting about 30 plants, and installing 10 cubic yards of pine bark mulch in multiple beds. Tito was great to communicate with and the crew were super efficient and courteous. We recommend them to everyone and will definitely use them again for future projects.

The # 3 mix I purchased was more than I purchased. Alot of places will tell you that they promise their cubic yard is a full yard and it's not. These folks really came through for me. My fall vegetables will be epic! Thanks a load to these fine folk.

I have now used MM 3 times. Very helpful, delivery on time with a heads up prior, mulch is excellent quality and as promised. Note that like most trucks - moving, Home Depot, etc. - their's are heavy. My neighbors have them dump in the street rather than back into a slab driveway.

Always a good experience, been dealing with these guys for years. Maybe not the greeting your expecting when you enter office but everything after that is great. Felix is always smiling and upbeat with a great attitude. Pricing is good compared to big box stores and as far as deliveries I can't speak for that, I always haul my own. All around good people and good pricing and plenty of material for whatever your yard needs. I'm a local contractor and when you find a business that has great employees and they treat you as expected it's worth letting others know.

Very happy with service we received from Mulch Masters. Their customer service is very professional and we are very happy with the trees we had placed in our yard. Joe, met his crew at our house to ensure trees were placed where we requested them to be planted. Craig was one of his lead men who also was very professional and polite when talking to my husband. Will continue to use Mulch Masters for our landscaping needs. Great job!

I'd have to say the owner is basically a POS. I ordered mulch, but the driver showed up with a half load of rock for another customer as well. He backed into my driveway, with me not knowing he had tons of rock on the truck, and cracked my driveway in 6 places. Thousands of dollars worth of damage. He stated I signed the delivery ticket, so they are not responsible for any damage they do. What a crock. Driver was not smart enough to deliver the rock first, and with a POS owner, my driveway needs to be replaced. I hope he dies a horrible death.

In late January I called all the nurseries within several miles to find the best deal on White Natchez Crape Myrtles. Mulch Masters gave me the best price along with rapid delivery and bigger trees than others offered. I also received terrific advice and instructions. I've waited till now to post a review with photos of the trees thriving!

Since the beginning of time I have been a customer of there's. Seeing the same faces speaks volumes for a company year after year. Keep up the great work!

It was easy to call and order my bales, but maybe these guys are not in the bales of pine straw business. Yeah, its mulch, but they were nice on the phone. They make you sign a waiver holding them harmless if they damage anything on your property, which to me shirks responsibility. Maybe its needed in their business, still never had Home Depot make me sign anything like it when they come to my house.

My biggest issue was the day of delivery. The guy calls me at 1:40, says he will be out, once he loads the truck. 25 bales and an hour later he arrives. Its 13 miles and the map programs show 22 minutes of drive. Hey a little traffic here and there I get it. But why not call AFTER you load the items, not before? My time was just as valuable as his. Called the owners, after 45 minutes, their response - He's on his way, should be there any minute.

Just the day earlier, I had another Landscape company call me when they were heading out from Phillips Hwy and they arrived in 20 minutes. Find someone local you know values your time and gives you a good value.

I was very hesitant about whom I wanted to hire to lay river rock around my pool and perimeter of back yard. The space was about 1150 sq ft of rock needed a big job which I knew would require a lot of work. After having a rep come out and give me an estimate I also decided I wanted some drains put in. It was a 4 1/2 hour job with 4 guys. They didn't try and cut corners. It was done beautifully and I couldn't have asked for more. Not to mention it probably added thousands to my home value.
