Curby's Lawn & Garden is committed to working towards lowering our carbon footprint. Since 1991, we have recycled all runoff water from our nursery through drain tiles and a cistern collection system, saving uncountable gallons of water as well as slowing run off and erosion. Since trees have the greatest positive impact on the Earth's carbon footprint through absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, we believe planting trees not only adds beauty to landscapes but also helps to save the environment.

Shocked that this company remains in business. Horrible customer experience, lack of follow through, inferior product. No way to comment on their response time, because they don't respond at all. Multiple trees dying that are under warranty. Our builder is actually paying them to remove & replace these, and after at least 15 phone calls & 15-months later, still have not received a single phone call from Curby to schedule it. His company has told us numerous times that we will hear from him & he is the only that does the scheduling. WORTHLESS, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

My fiance and I are extremely happy with the work this company did for us! The issue we were having was our back yard flooding. We have an inground pool with a retaining wall behind it. We live slightly downhill from our neighbors and their sump pump pumps out their back fence, for some reason, instead of pumping out front to the drainage system like everyone else in the neighborhood.
When it rains, the rain water on top of the neighbors sump pump pumping their water out, causes our back yard to flood and has made our pool liner come unattached several times due to water getting under the liner causing it to bubble. This issue has also caused us a couple of thousand dollars in pool repairs! We contacted the city first to see if there is anything we could do and we were told they aren't violating any codes.
The neighbors didn't want to do anything about their sump pump so we decided to contact Curby. I was referred to him from a coworker who had work done for him by Curby's Lawn and Garden. I called Curby and he wasn't available at the time but responded in a very time manner. He sent a worker out to assess the situation and then gave me an estimate which we thought was really reasonable.
We decided to go with Curby's Lawn and Garden after receiving estimates from two other landscaping company's. They came out yesterday and installed a 40 foot french drain along the back side of our back yard, a 70 foot French drain leading from the side of our back yard out to the street in front, raised our central air unit, put in beautiful decorative rock around our central air unit, and put down lots of top soil in areas I requested the workers to put it down.
The workers were very polite and informative on everything they did. They completed the job in one day. I highly recommend Curby's Lawn and Garden! We will contact them for any of our landscaping needs due to their polite hard working staff, timely responses, and quality work!

We did not choose Curby's they were the landscaper used by our builder. We had the unfortunate timing of having our sod laid June 2010 - right before something crazy like 45 days of close to 100 degree weather. Despite our $800 water bill, our lawn struggled. Our builder was amazing and paid to have it over seeded in the fall. Since then our yard has been fantastic. However, the plants that were provided by Curby's were riddled with infestation, died shortly after (at first I didn't put a lot of steak that it was poor quality until they avoided following up after our 1 yr warranty walk-thru).
They replaced a few of the very cheap bushes, I was told they would return to replace the 2 almost dead tree's soon, well a year and a half later. (yes around 20 calls on my end) with very little return attempts made on Curby's end to solve the matter I asked my builder what I should do? Due to his calls and his calls alone is how I got any response at all.
Basically our builder is graciously paying for a replacement (although I would never ask him to do so, apparently Curby had no problem asking for this). When Curby blankly pointed out he was of no fault in the matter and said the only reason I was getting a call back at all was because my builder was paying for it, I simply asked why is the warranty not in effect?
He's rude retort was because we were poor yard caregivers and allowed our entire yard to die due to not watering it. I was stunned. I asked him when the last time he saw our yard was, that it was in fact very much alive and thriving, and that the trees died to infestation that his worker pointed out to me at the first visit. I was told he would replace one tree only at his convenience, when he managed to make it to my neighborhood next and to expect a call before his visit is too much to ask for. Then.
I was hung up on. Yes. I got a little upset with his remarks. I will never willingly work with this company again. I do find it interesting that all their plants are either sad looking or fail to thrive when all the plants I have added after the fact are doing quite nicely. Does that seem odd to anybody else?
