Backyard Connection - Landscaping & Pest Control

Every aspect of our project went exactly as planned. Except one thing, They finished 1 week early! Dennis is fantastic and the worker team was very pleasant. We Highly recommend Backyard Connection.

Dennis' expertise is apparent the minute you meet him. We could not be happier with our new backyard. The workers were friendly and mindful and meticulous. I would never recommend anyone else when it comes to Design and Installation. Fabulous job Dennis and crew; we are stoked to have a yard that is so comfortable and beautiful and look forward many years of enjoyment for our whole family.

Dennis Thomas and his crew did a great job for me. They connected my backyard with my front yard with beautiful rock. Planted orange blossoms on my fence and a beautiful bottle brush tree. The irrigation is excellent and very happy with the results. I would highly recommend them.

While I didn't end up using Backyard Connection, Dennis was very helpful and responsive in providing me a quote. He is very courteous and did a wonderful job at my neighbors house. I would highly recommend giving him a call.

Dennis and his crew are wonderful! We needed an addition to our driveway plus turf added to our backyard and a lattice off of our patio. I thought I would need to get different companies to do all that but Dennis and his crew took care of it all and very quickly! Dennis gave me some ideas to add a little more green to my yard and added some lights which really make a huge difference. Everyone was very friendly and courteous and everything was done when they said it would be. My dogs are very happy to have more turf to run on in our yard!

Dennis is on top of it! He arranged for our side yard to be done in just two days! We are so happy and pleased with the work and quality of work. Now we have function and it looks great!

Just moved to Nevada and needed some landscaping done in backyard. Dennis came in with what we liked the most. Once picked, backyard connection just moved in and got it done!2 days! Luis, went all over looking to find the plants so all could be planted at once! Lights, watering system and raised planter! Happy homeowner! Workers were awesome, kept the area neat and clean and were so kind to our old dogs who just wanted to be next to them. Thanks Dennis and your fantastic crew!

They did two jobs for us. The first one was pavers in the backyard. They did a good job. Then we asked them to put grass down on our side yard. They used multiple pieces and it left a mini 'speed bump' where the seam was. They promised more than once to make it right but never came back again. We have another big project set up, but we went with someone else.

It has only been 5 years and so far we have had to pay someone else to totally replace all the grass area. It was not installed properly and did not drain. We also had to pay for someone to come correct the whole watering systems as it was a mess. With the cost of these and all the plants that had to be replaced we could have had a different company give us a whole new yard. Beside the fact that we were paying them to take care of everything. Would not recommend. We were hosed on the price too.

We had 4 other estimates to install our backyard of our new home in Inspirada Henderson, NV. Dennis Thomas of Backyard Connection was an easy choice as he listened carefully to the vision that I has for my yard environment. He was kind and courteous and presented us with plans and an estimate a day or two later. His crew was attentive to any concerns I had and quickly talked to Dennis and made adjustments during instillation.

Everyone was professional and completed the job on our schedule in a 1 1/2 wks time due only to rain. I can highly recommend Dennis Thomas and Backyard Connection for your landscaping needs.

I was referred to this company by my realtor, Linda McCombs, at Berkshire Hathaway. My backyard needed to be refreshed after 14 years. The original contractor never never returned my calls. When I called Dennis at Backyard Connection, I had an appointment the next day. His crew did the work within the week. Jesus did a fabulous job of matching the original rock and plants.

From concept to completion we were very happy with the whole process. We spoke with three companies about the project and they were not the lowest price however after meeting with Mr. Thomas based on his portfolio and his vision of what could be done we elected to go with them. We appreciate the attention to detail, they finished on time, and the crew was professional. I would recommend them to anyone in the area looking to have landscape design work done.

This company does wonderful work. After having numerous estimates, we decided on Backyard Connection based on design and price! Dennis worked with us on what we needed/wanted to make best use of the space we have. They started as soon as we had approval from our HOA and finished in less than a week. The team was very nice and their workmanship was great! We are thrilled with the finished project. We also are very happy with the follow up. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed immediately. Very Highly Recommend

We had an electrical short from one of our kids leaving the Jacuzzi on without water in it. It caused all the sprinklers in my backyard to stop working. We didn't do anything about it for a long time so our backyard went from looking like a beautiful garden with flowers and green grass, to dirt with patches of yellow crisp grass. I just wanted my backyard to look like it used to.

I showed them the pictures of our original backyard and they restored it to it's original beauty with a few additions that really add to its beauty. I definitely recommend Backyard Connections to anyone who wants a beautiful yard. My review was dropped so I am re-posting my review. Backyard Connections did a great job and deserves a lot more 5 Star Reviews in my opinion.

I would give zero stars but review would not let me. Just lost in small claims court and ended up paying twice for unfinished work. They left my front yard unfinished for 14 days while I was being fined from my HOA. This was a minimal job of 3 days tops. No call back no answer, I had to hire another company to finish & redo a lot of their shotty work.

They never ever worked off of my detailed plans or pictures and I had to be there and watch them every day while coming home from double shifts. They even took out parts that I help install, later discovering after it was completed by another company. We had to pull up the synthetic grass and install the parts costing me more labor hours. Not a reputable company at all.

To remind everyone. WARNING.WHEN YOU SIGN A CONTRACT BE SPECIFIC ON YOUR START AND END DATES.& FOR EVERY DAY THAT THEY FAIL TO MEET THAT DEADLINE.YOU DEDUCT $100 FOR EVERY DAY LATE. THIS COMPANY CAN CHANGE IT'S NAME EVERY YEAR BUT IF IT'S OWNED MY DENNIS THOMAS PLEASE BEWARE OF WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH.

Like the other reviewers, the end landscaping product looked ok, but not great. It certainly should have looked better considering what it cost. The contract certainly was not followed and several things were not done that were clearly stated in the contract. And when this was brought up, they simply said oh.we were going to do that for free for you. so if we didn't do it no problem because we didn't charge you for it.

The grass area that the put in is lumpy and has died in many areas since it was not put in correctly (6 months ago). they didn't use a roller to smash the grass down or smooth out the surface enough so I'm not surprised that the grass didn't take. They also failed to properly prepare the ground for the new grass. They did not till it but threw dirt over the hard ground.

The also were supposed to put drainage in and did only in one area. The grass area they were supposed to grade it smoothly but instead made this radical slope so that they wouldn't have to regrade the area. This area now does not drain correctly and collects water EVERY time the area is watered. I will have to supply a picture to show you guys as you won't believe it.

Come spring time we will have to redo the grass area. (estimates so far around $1000). And finally, when the job was "finished" the owner came and asked for more money since he made a mistake in measuring the grass area. I told him we made a selection based upon the bid.had the extra charge been included we would have never gone with this company.

This landscaping company is the worst and I will never use them again. They came to my home three times to fix the same issue and it was fixed but was not great. The individuals that do the work do not know what they are doing and do not follow the proposal. We let certains go because we were fed up with repeating ourselves so we delayed portion of the payment and it seemed to do the trick. However, like i said is the backyard is okay but for what I paid it could have been done much better with another company. I personally think they are crooks. stay away from this company!

I am writing a review for the landscaping services I purchased from this company. The final product looked acceptable, but not great. However, several elements of the original plan and quote were not followed by the workers on the job, which my spouse and I decided to let slide, since the differences still looked ok. There were several delays, which my spouse and I attempted to be flexible and accommodating for.

Even after overlooking these discrepancies and delays, we requested a copy ofthe warranty paperwork, which was assured by the business owner but never provided. Once they had our money, they didn't seem to care about following up with our satisfaction level with the final product. Furthermore, no one at this business has returned a single one of my calls or emails to date, on status updates during the project, nor requests for warrany paperwork copies afterward.

They have replied to my spouse, however, , which leads me to question if there is some gender-discrimination occuring when they deal with their customers. For the price I paid for the services, I'm certain I could have found another company with as good, if not better work quality, without the silent-treatment I endured, possibly due to being a woman. I would not do business with this company again, nor could I recommend them to others in good concience. Buyer beware.

I had scheduled an estimate with the company, and they did not show up. Then a week later they called and against my better judgement I told them I would give them another chance, then they did not show up again. So I called them and told them to forget it, and they keep trying to call me and are harassing me. I would never go with this business.
